Hot Spring Spas of Kansas City — Attraction in Lenexa

Endless Pools asked owners to answer two basic questions about their swim spas. I added a third question of my own.

"What inspired you to first start looking at fitness pools and spas?" - My wife and I are retired. She has M.S. and cannot walk without a walker. Last year we swam in a daughter's pool and my wife realized how wonderful it felt to be able to move in ways she cannot normally do. The downside to a backyard pool is that it's only available for about 3-4 months a year. Our other daughter (who live in Lenexa) suggested that we look into a swim spa at Hot Spring Spas. As we 'dove' into learning about them we realized that she could get year round exercise with a swim spa and started looking in earnest. This year we found a local spa company with a good reputation (these guys) and began the process to purchase a swim spa.

"What made you realize that Endless Pools was the right choice for you?" - When we started shopping we found that most local businesses were mainly about pools. Hot Spring Spas of Kansas City only deals with spas and hot tubs. We first looked at the R220 but my wife realized it didn't have enough space for her to do the exercises she needs so we moved on to the R200. But, as things often turn out, my wife was still unsure about the amount of floor space and we settled on the R500.

Here's an answer to a question you didn't ask: "Since owning a swim spa, what benefits have you experienced?" - Our swim spa was installed just before 2024 Memorial Day and we have had almost three months of use at about 5-6 days each week. We are currently using a stair-step ladder to get in and out (next month our deck will be remodeled) and I had to help my wife lift her legs to get in the spa. It's different now. Now, she can climb the steps and get her legs in by herself. She's gaining muscle tone and strength and the results are clear. Her very first swim was very emotional and it's been incrementally better since. Even though the swim spa was an investment in my wife's future it has become very apparent that I am also benefiting. I have better muscle tone and feel like I've been cross training. I use a swim mask and swim against the wave machine holding my breath and I'm able to go longer under water and do more repetitions. We purchased our first hot tub from Hot Spring Spas a few months ago. I worked with Adam throughout the entire process and could not be happier. From walking in the door, to picking out the hot tub that was right for us (he was no-pressure - just wanted to make sure we got the right hot tub for us - which i really appreciated), to taking a test soak with my wife in the store (don't be shy!), throughout instillation, to now - just coming in to get more chemicals every month or so Adam has been there every step of the way. We wanted a shelf that would either stand next to or affix to the hot tub itself to hold drinks - guess what? I walked in one day and Adam took me into the supply garage and got me the perfect shelf that I attached onto the hot tub myself. The actual hot tub installation crew were quick and professional setting up the hot tub in the backyard - they even moved it about an inch near the end to make it PERFECT - a small thing but when you're putting something in that heavy I really appreciated them being patient with us and lining it up just right. Adam recommended an electrician that did the hard wire from the hot tub to the electric panel - the guy couldn't have been more thorough and professional and everything is working great. Amazing Experience with Hot Springs Spa of KC & Ryan

In early March 2025, we casually decided to check out hot tubs—just to look, with no real intention of buying one. Hot Springs Spa of KC was our second stop, and that’s where everything changed.

We found a spa that checked nearly all of our boxes. Ryan was fantastic from the start—knowledgeable, helpful, and never pushy. He walked us through the features of each model and answered all our questions. We actually left to visit a few more dealers and grab lunch, but during lunch we realized the spa we saw at Hot Springs Spa of KC was the one. We went back and placed a deposit that same day.

Ryan made the entire process smooth. He offered optional accessories without any pressure—later we opted to get the cover lifter, which turned out to be a must-have. The team was also incredibly patient as we prepped our space and got electrical work done.

Delivery was timely, professional, and well-handled. After the spa was installed, I called Ryan a couple of times for help with the chemicals and water balancing. He walked me through everything step by step, which was incredibly helpful.
