Yesterday was my first time at SleepCity, I had heard about them through my parents who had recently bought a bed that they absolutely loved. Well my husband and I had been without a bed and sleeping in our living room with our 6 month old. My parents were kind enough to offer to buy us a new bed and since they like their bed so much my mom took us to SleepCity. She had previously mentioned the salesman named Dan who she had already had an unpleasant experience with but she was willing to give the store another chance to help us out. The store itself is very nice, clean, and welcoming. Dan however is not! He had another customer there when we arrived and he kept putting them on hold to take phone calls. He then left them standing at the desk to come talk with us but would leave in the middle of conversations to go back to that customer and then would make everyone wait to answer calls again. We would have patiently waited for him to finish with the other customer since they were there before us but Dan continued to bounce back and forth for over an hour. When he was assisting us he was extremely rude especially to my mom, who was a repeat customer. He did not explain things clearly and seemed to be very frustrated by us asking questions. He would cut my mom off, tell her he didnt say something he did, or tell her she was wrong about something he did say. For example she had us look at an electric queen that raises the head and feet. When she asked about the price originally he gave her a very low price but when checkout time came he gave her a completely different price. She reminded him of the amount he originally told her. Instead of nicely explaining things he cut her off and snapped at her saying "That's not the price I gave you. I didnt show you an electric bed and I never demonstrated that bed for you. I only meant the flat mattress." Even when my husband and I would speak to him he would cute us off, not answer direct questions, and then get frustrated with us as if we were asking to much. After over an hour of his rudeness we decided on a mattress and agreed to load it in my husband's truck instead of waiting for delivery. Dan did help get the mattress into the bed of the truck but offered no assistance in getting the box springs loaded or strapping everything down. Dan walked right past us as I'm standing on my toes trying to help my husband strap the mattresses into the bed of the truck. Honestly if it hadn't been for my mom telling us to just deal with him so we could get the bed I would have flipped Dan the bird, walked out, and continued sleeping on the couch till I could of afforded a new mattress from somewhere else. Brittin was sweet , polite and very helpful with tons of info. But then the next day i spoke to a man named Dan! He was okay not very customer friendly.i voiced my concerns with him about different bed styles. And Dan assured me i wouldnt have any of the issues i was worried about with the split king adjustable bed. My main concern was falling through the bed or my husband . So i came up with an idea to add the end rails to the sides to keep the mattresses on the bed base. DAN NEVER TOLD ME THAT THE BASE WAS SPLIT AS WELL AS THE MATTRESSES! i got the bed and was not happy . My husband and i are now sleeping in twin beds apart because the base slides apart on hard woood floors. Which i fell through and got hurt. I called and called left messages. So i called again less then 24 hours from having the bed and Dan put me on hold for over 25 mins as he took care of other customers, taking care of credit card transactions that i could hear their card numbers being read back to them.. and even him shooting the breeze about computers with a co worker... as im still on hold for over 25 mins thats how long it took me to get to the store and walk in still on hold. He was short with me . Rude in his tone. Lied to me about the product and over charged my credit card. I informed another manager and was assured i would be credited properly. Never was. I have sent other family to their store. One daughter had a great wxperiance with Brittin. My other daughter sammie true and her husband and myself today were not so lucky. Dan was the one there and was rude again. Raised his voice to me several times, cutting me off in mid questions .stopping from helping us to answer phone calls to help other customers and leave us standing there waiting for 2 hours. And then again talked down to me! Was rude with his words and correcting me on what he had told me when i repeated it back to him and was totally treating me like i was nothing. Then i get over charged again. But whats strange is the invoice he sent me has a lower amount and does not provide all the info but my receipt from wells fargo shows a much higher price charged on my card. No pushy sales tactics just a more informative experience and asking us what our needs are to let us know what mattresses would meet those needs. The products have small defects like a small scratch or a little tear which are usually covered by a mattress protector. The product is at about a 95-97 percent good condition and when I received my mattress I could not locate the defect on mine. You get a very good bang for your buck and this is actually my second mattress I am purchasing from this location. I would not have looked for another mattress, but we have a growing family and we needed the space.
BAD - There was a slight miscommunication with the mattress protector, which came in the wrong size. This actually turned out to be a positive because it gave me insight into the movers and the warehouse. The movers were extremely friendly and helpful when it came to delivering the mattress. They were very apologetic and gave me several options on how to resolve the issue, but since the warehouse was nearby I decided to just go up there and exchange it. I called up to the warehouse and the staff there was very understanding and helpful themselves.
OVERALL - Everything was resolved pretty quickly and I got the mattress protector replaced. I will continue to buy from Sleep City Lone Star as I am confident they put thought and care into the...
