F&F Japanese Grill — Restaurant in Lewisville

I like to begin my reviews by stating that I view a 3 as an average rating. it's not a slap on the wrist, nor is it a reprimand, nor a complaint - it is simply "reasonably priced, provided, food." However, we live in a culture where all or nothing are often considered the norms, and I feel that's unfair.

Despite me rating them at a 4, this is probably one of my favorite places to eat at. I've gone in, and I've had their food delivered, and while I will say that the food is better when you're there in person (surprise, surprise), it's still delicious when you get it delivered at home. Their WOW bowls are good, their Bimbambaps are good, and their Spicy Bombs are good (and surprisingly, actually spicy).

So then why do I remove a star? Honestly, there's two main reasons. Part of it's a bit in terms of quality, due to the fact that some of their food is prepared prior to being ordered (such as gyozas and the like). I've noticed that even when eaten there, the jalapeno poppers and mushroom poppers are soggy more often than they are crunchy. Is that a huge complaint? No, but it's enough for me to consider it 'comfort food' than, perhaps, an 'eating experience.' And secondly, if you eat in person, there's a minor disappointment in no drinking fountain or the like, meaning any drinks you buy are by the can or bottle.

Interior: Unique, interesting, kind of similar to a chipotle's, but not really. It's got their foods displayed on the wall, and you can see some of the foods already pre-prepared.

Overall: Big fan, really enjoy the food, and did not have any food poisoning, which apparently other people had issues with (I was buying food from here during that period of time,...

Okay, so I just left from this place like five minutes ago, and I have to tell the tale.

I went to this place at around 6 pm to ask them about their Hours of operation, and they told me that they close at 9 PM. I asked them if I if I came in at 8:59 PM if they would still allow me to place an order. They told me they would and I told them why I had to come so late was because my brother gets off work really late, and I wanted to make sure that if I did place an order that the food would still be hot by the time my brother came home. They took it with a smile it told me it was all right and that if I came at 8:59 and place an order that they would still except it. So I did actually go right at 8:59 PM, rushing through the door, looking a mess, and they smiled and let me place two orders when it was obvious that they had started to clean up. Eternally grateful! They made my meal, quick, fast (unfuriously lol) and in a hurry, and I couldn’t be happier about it. It even came to pay, and I asked if they took tips, and he said it was cash only, because I wanted to give like $15 bucks, and without cash on hand, I put a sticky note in the jar commending them on their service. I asked for two medium drinks,5$36 only had one medium cup, and he gave me two larger for the price of two mediums! Then, when I went to go with my two bags and two big drinks, a staff member came out with a cup holder and helped me to get my things in order.

I’ve been to this spot a few times, and the food and customer service has always been right on.

I drive about 15 out because i remember this spot being delicious and the portions were large, expensive but large so i would excuse the pricing. This time around i drive 15 min to then 15 back home. I SPECIFICALLY stated “NOODLES with only a but of rice”. I get home and i guess thats on me that i trusted them to get my simple order right. I open it, super excited as i remember it tasting like heaven. I find really small and only a couple of pieces of steak when they used to be plenty and large. 4 shrimp at a good price, if you recall i said only a bit of rice and NOODLES, which would make the vast majority of the plate…. You guessed it right….. NOODLES!!!! sigh* No noodles whatsoever in my plate, but you want to guess what it was filled up to the brim? RICE!!!!!!!!! For gods sake how hard it is to get a simple order right when I’m clearly telling you a base plate and two ingredients??!! Ive been having this issue more and more these past couple of years, i think its the newest generation of workers and not having pride in their work, simple listening skills, these are the same workers that DEMAND unbelievable wages compared to their low...
