Although I moved to this area a few years ago, I just started coming here regularly because card shops used to be so daunting, and I thought, “Well this is so close by, might as well check it out!” I will say, although they do sell cards, decks, and deck accessories, the environment is more of a place to buy individual cards, trade/sell cards, and participate in tournaments. If you’re looking to buy packs, I wouldn’t recommend coming here, and I don’t mean that in a bad way!! This is a good place to find people with similar interests, and do individual card transactions than just buying stuff which I find terrific! I really only have found one con to this place: when there is a tournament going on, it STINKS. i’ve been in “nerdy” communities my whole life and I will never really get over it because it’s just an honest truth. some people in these hobbies don’t have very good hygiene. What makes it worse is that the building itself doesn’t have very good ventilation. In Texas spring/summer heat, this small building being full of BO creates a bad smell. last time I came to look at cards, I had to leave earlier than anticipated because there was a tournament going on and the smell was lowkey giving me a stomachache. I understand that the managers can’t control it, so I definitely don’t hold it against them!! The good thing is that outside of tournament nights, it’s just stuffy and humid and there isn’t a lingering BO smell so it seems like they’re at least aware of this. The employees are actually pretty nice which I haven’t seen very often. One reason why I had to stop going to other hobby stores was because if you were a girl like me, who IS knowledgeable and interested in this kind of hobby, you’re usually spoken down to or disrespected outright. This place, from my experience, is full of employees who are passionate about the hobby and actually look forward to having a conversation or even educate you on certain things you may not know about without making you feel stupid. It’s honestly made me want to stop by for a tournament at some point. I would like to add that the atmosphere inside with the aesthetic alone is nice. It’s a small store, but it’s cozy. usually there will be anime playing on a TV, and a couch for you to chill at and chat with people while you look through their 50 cent card boxes. One thing I appreciate is that all their packs, bundles, binders, and deck accessories are behind the counter, so it allows you to chat and build a relationship better. Lastly, when you’re buying cards individually, the employees are patient and cool, and give you prices as you’re shopping for cards. Last time I got cards they offered free top loaders on top of the sleeve so it’s just nice to have. Maybe it’s a norm, but I just like how they do things here.

TLDR; If you’re looking to scalp, or just walk in/walk out, this may not be the store for you. however, if you’re looking for community or just getting into the TCG hobby, I HIGHLY recommend! Just note that tournament nights get...

Where do I start.

I went to this shop a couple weeks ago to buy OP cards. I was told they had only singles and I requested to see them and I was told no because they were under staffed. Yes there were 2 people behind the counter and 2 others helping the tourney but yet they were understaffed so I said that's fine and walked out.

Second visit (Op08 Pre Release)

I'm new to the game. I have played maybe 2 games and I don't play legit tournaments until I know the game and know the place to make sure I can enjoy the atmosphere and people.

For this place NONE checked the box.

Its pretty spacious domt get me wrong but they are typically always empty.

Onto the Pre Relase Tourney OP-08

I'm mid game on my first game. My opponent kept grabbing my cards without asking to read them and whenever I wanted to use an affect for my card he would act like a child and do "which one which one which one" OVER AND OVER until I have picked one. God bless was that stressful then The opponent is freaking out cause I have my DON flipped over to face up. Well I suite his needs and flip it over and when doing so I had a DIFFERENT card sleeve that was the same as my deck, and life cards. After that he freaks out again cause I'm using one sleeve that's the same. The judge comes over to look and I repeated myself about 4 times that my bad then I just said I can change it right now for you if you wanted me to "Ah No just don't let it happen again".

Judge wanted to look at the card to make sure I'm not cheating and wasn't that just quite disrespectful. What am I gonna do flip my trap card over?

So after that dude kept touching my cards and when I was trying to block a 9k attack I use my counter of 2 cost and then I tried to discard a card to get 10k and I was in the midst of flipping my DON to pay for the 2 he tells me I can't discard why am I discarding a card so I pull him back and say oh I'm sorry then turns out he didn't like how the process was done so then he tells me how to do it.

Dude also kept speed racing his attacks and not allowing enough time for me to activate Bonnie's effect to use one DON and rest a leader or character.

Mind I add this is a PRE RELEASE NOTHING SERIOUS.

Definitely not coming back here and this is my first card store review. More to come and there are better ones out there....choose...

Out of the 2 times I've visited this store, both have been terrible. It seems that that this store has no intentions of changing its customer service since some of these reviews are at least 1yr old with the same issues I had. First time I came into the store for a brand new product. Store was charging double the price for it ($34.99 MSRP, their price: $75 with tax). They can charge what they want, but if other stores have at MSRP or closer, then you might as well spend your money elsewhere. Second time i visited, I asked about some Gundam cards if I could see them. If I understood correctly, unless it's a day that has to do with the card game, they won't show you the cards. So if you can't come in the day they have them out, that's too bad. I don't know why the two employees who answered my questions were uninterested and very unwelcoming. After I thanked them for answering, they stayed silent and gave a cold stare. Not even a "thanks for stopping by" or anything.
