We arrived at this restaurant which was kind of plain and in the strip mall shopping space. We entered this restaurant front door and found that it was fairly open with hard seating. We were greeted by the hostess and immediately seated in one of the booths. The furniture appears to be a period type but in decent condition. Spicy mazumen so regular mazumen, kimchi ramen, seafood ramen and shoyu ramen....We all had water and drinks brought to the table promptly after we sat down and made the first order. My family enjoyed the kimchi and some of the other five dishes but we did not enjoy the seafood dish. My family member indicated that her meal had a overpowering fishy taste and not enough of the spice to remove that fishy flavor in the dish. The server came over to the table and was very informative and helped us through the menu to decide what we wanted to order. Both of the servers came back to the table on several occasions to check on us to see if we wanted any additional assistance with our meals or drinks. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. and found that the restaurant quickly filled with customers as the two servers struggled to keep up with the orders from the floor. Our food arrived quickly soon after we ordered it. Each of the meals came out separately but came out hot as prepared in the kitchen. Our server was on point and really helping to get everything taken care of promptly and efficiently. There was plenty of parking in the adjacent lot in several handicap parking spots. This location did not have automatic doors but appeared to have seating for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere to begin? The atmosphere is cozy and the wood furniture just adds an authenticity to the establishment. The wait staff are kind and fast, and the food is just divine. I've been there twice in a week now and I've tried the Miso Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, Takoyaki, and Okonomiyaki. First off, the Okonomiyaki was a bit rich, but over all really tasty. The takoyaki was absolutely delicious so if you get some you better get more than one order if you aren't by yourself. The shoyu ramen was a nice, mellow yet robust array of flavors from the firm noodles to the mellow but hearty chickenbroth to the delicious chashu which parts of actually melted in my mouth as i ate it. The various vegetables were all crisp and fresh and delicious and even upon reheating my leftovers it still tasted just as heavenly and left my stomach and palate oh so satisfied. The soft boiled egg was also delicious but it's flavor can very wildly depending on the broth used and type of ramen you order. The miso ramen was just HEAVENLY, my mouth danced as I greedily slurped it down, the richness of the miso combined with a hearty pork broth made the already delicious egg into something that literally blew my taste buds away with it's surprisingly delicious cavalcade of flavors. I was both sated by the ramen and yet kept wanting to eat more cause it was just too delicious. And to top it off the prices are extremely fair and you get way more than your money's worth. I'm definitely making this one of my go to places for lunch or dinner and you should too. Careful though, you might...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think this place is fine for ramen. But it is not Hakata Ramen. It tastes like they use MSG and Soy Milk to make their "Tonkotsu" ramen. It would be cheap if they just used a Hammer on pork bones and pig feet to make the broth. If they wanted to cheat a bit I would say use pig skin and chicken feet. But what they have seems lazy.
Their "miso" just is too sweet, it tastes like Doenjang (korean soy fermented with bacteria not a fungus). Its obvious. Its a total lie that it is miso. They could say it is awase but it tastes like doenjang/ or yellow miso from China.
They are overpriced and toppings make it expensive. Akin to going to a froyo place and overpaying for getting toppings.
They make profit from the ramen craze but. It tastes okay I wasn't upset with it. But it isn't accurate. And the cheapest stuff is way overpriced.
They need a real chef. They have 3 branches - and honestly - i bet the owner knows his stuff but the chef seems like they never had real ramen or just told to cut corners. - its really a 2 - if they lowered their prices would be a 3.
3-5$ ramen is better than this in Japan.
If you're reading this you should hire me as your chef for a few days. BEAUTIFUL store though - I can't blame them too much for the prices. Ramen is meant to be like fast food and quick but people tend to hang around a long time and the lack of turn around drives up those prices. I have more to say about noodles but it's all about the stock. I have been here 3 times same every time. And it is someone else...
