We come to this Firehouse location more than a few times per year. I always mention to my fiancé that I need to write a good review for this location while dining in. I'm making good on that today.
From the second you walk through the door you're greeted by EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE with a loud and cheerful "welcome to Firehouse". Ordering is always fast, easy with orders always coming out a few minutes after we've selected our drinks at the Coke Freestyle machine and have picked out our favorite flavor/brand of chips from their large selection. While dining here it's hard not to have a smile on your face as you listen in on the conversations employees are having; which is usually about the sports program that is currently playing on one of their many TV's. It's comforting to feel that employees appear to be very happy working at this establishment. Employees are very attentive and engage with customers while cleaning and tidying up the dining area. Our food was prepared as ordered this visit. We have had visits where our order was wrong. Staff has always apologized and corrected order in a timely manner. When they make mistakes they are kind enough to offer us vouchers for a free sub on our next return. When we are finished eating it has become entertaining on every occasion for us to get up to throw our trash away only to be stopped in our tracks by employees to take our trash from us and inform us that we're supposed to let them handle that part of our visit. I can't help by smile as I am writing this. Never has this Firehouse location disappointed us and I look forward to returning.
I also want to mention as a side note that on another occasion at this same location that I have personally seen managers testing employees knowledge away from customers in a far corner of the dining area on their menu items as well as questions based on employees memory of what goes into a...
Read moreI don't generally do reviews, so you really have to do something either really amazing, or really frustrating to get one out of me. I ordered online, then went to pick up the order and when I got there, they had a couple people in line. No big deal except there was a fella standing there not making a sandwich at the moment, so I asked if he could just hand me my order. The online ordering process forced me to enter a credit card, and I immediately received a receipt in my email, so I know it was paid for, which I let him know it was paid for. When he went to grab it, he let the lady behind the register know it was already paid for, at which point she said no, it wasn't. I'm fine with waiting in line, and waiting my turn if I need to order, or to pay for something, or if everyone is busy, but I know for a fact it was paid for and she, assuming out of spite just wanted me to wait. I'm assuming this because when she told him it wasn't paid for, the guy beside her started laughing and she started smiling. Sorry, but I feel at this point you've gone out of your way to be spiteful and at the very least, lied right in front of me. Doesn't matter how good the food is, if this is how you entertain yourselves at work, it's deserving of a one...
Read moreI visit this store once a month and have always had empathy for the manager and her situation. Today’s visit didn’t go well. I ordered a large sub with the intent of sharing it. I asked for additional silverware and was given a hard time. The managers 17-y/o daughter walked away thinking that I was getting smart with her. I wasn’t. I went over to her to apologize for her feeling that way and let her know that wasn’t my intent. When I asked the manager (the mother) to ask her daughter to come out so that I could apologize, she got very ugly with me. She called her manager saying that I was a door dash employee bothering her. For the record, I’ve NEVER worked for door dash. I’m the same person that this manager felt comfortable to sit down with for 45 minutes a month ago, telling me that “she called off on the weekend due to her being sick and her manager made her come in.” She stated that “she was paid very little, her regional manager didn’t care about her and that she was ONLY there until her daughter graduated.” How do you mix me up with someone else and are you now afraid of me? This manager is very stressed out and unhappy there. Maybe it is time for you to go if you're feeling used...
