Maple & J — Attraction in Lexington

I’ve been a Maple and J customer for several years and own multiple pieces. I received this twisted silver as part of a stack as a gift and it has been one of my faves. I care for the jewelry as recommended and on Monday the bangle broke in half and popped off my wrist while I was talking to co-workers (who also are big Maple and J fans). We were all shocked this happened but everyone (5 separate Maple and J customers) assured me that the company would replace or repair my bracelet. I reached out immediately and was asked if I could provide the order no. As it was a gift, I was unable to. I gave details of my purchase, sent the pic attached and offered to bring in the bangle so they could assure it was a Maple and J piece. I was told that this bangle was not one that could be repaired but was offered a “complimentary discount” to repurchase, which would be refunded to me after I paid in full. It took a follow up email for me to find out the “complimentary discount” would be 15%. I am very disappointed in the response to the obvious quality issue with their product. I still love the maple and J products and the opportunity to support local, but I won’t be purchasing from them again. For those of you who get a Maple and J piece as a gift, make sure you get the order number. I purchased my 1st bracelet not even a week ago and it shipped the following day and I had it by the weekend. i LOVE my bracelet, so much that I ordered another one a day after receiving my 1st one.
