DelRay 817 - Haymarket — Attraction in Lincoln

The venue speaks for itself - absolutely beautiful! Not only is the venue a perfect blend of an industrial and elegant feel but ALL of the staff are absolutely phenomenal. Alicia makes planning a huge event like a wedding so easy - getting things organized and working with us to make sure we have our dream wedding day! we loved that they offer plenty of options for in house decorating! Getting set up the day before went so smoothly and we appreciate all the help! On the day of the wedding, everything went so perfectly! Our day of coordinator was so amazing and kept the reception running smoothly - everyone went truly above and beyond to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted and more - and it was!! Our drinks were absolutely delicious - we had so many compliments from our guests! The bartenders were so much fun (our guests were taking pictures with them and having a blast) and we appreciate that they let us use the drink toppers for our signature drinks to add a personal touch. DelRay takes care of SO much, like coordinating with vendors and handling so many other details, to make sure you don't have to worry about things on your big day! Thank you so much DelRay! We wish we could just relive the day over and over!!

Everything about our experience with DelRay 817 was positive. My daughter was married in March in Honduras. In July we had a vow blessing ceremony with a dessert & dance reception at DelRay to celebrate with all of our US friends. Arden was great to work with, asking the right questions, giving input and being patient with us. With my daughter living out of the country, some decisions took more time, but they were very understanding. The night of the event, it all looked incredible! Because the venue is gorgeous all on its own, we didn’t have to do a lot of extra in the way of decorating. The bar staff was kind and efficient. The manager on duty was incredibly helpful to see that we had everything we needed. It was great to have a full bar setup that was a bit away from the dance floor so if people wanted to chat they could do so away from the music. I planned a Greek formal with the DelRay last spring and was really frustrated by their lack of communication. The actual venue was very nice, but management was not clear on contract specifications, their requirements for catering, or their security procedures. A bunch of guys lost their suit jackets because DelRay did not allow them on the ballroom floor (I was not aware of this beforehand). Once they realized that the open coat check allowed people to steal suit coats, they changed their procedure and just patted down people to check for alcohol. Why did they not just pat people down in the first place? I understand they have to implement a security procedure to ensure minors do not smuggle in alcohol, but it's just so inconsistent. Now I've got a bunch of buddies jipped out of a suit jacket, DelRay does not want to pick up the liability for it.
