Planet Fitness — Attraction in Linden

There are not enough weight plates for the leg presses and the Smith machines. There are not enough dumbbells and no mirrors in front of the dumbbells. Most importantly there is an insufficient amount of adjustable benches for free weight and Smith machine use. Come on buy a few more benches and some more weight. There are now two leg presses next to each other and there is simply not enough weight for both of them. Machines are still not fixed after months. For example one of the chest fly machines is missing the yellow knob for easy adjustment. It has been that way for over a year. One of the machines for the back has had a loose chest pad for a few weeks now despite reporting this to the front desk. Most importantly the tanning machines are 15 years old. They don't tan well, The protective metal cage keeps falling on the users, and are a health risk. You are now I noticed when somebody gets hurt. All the other nearby planet fitness locations have the newer machines that actually tan. Finally whoever looks at these reviews always responds by telling dissatisfied members to contact the management. Here is a suggestion why don't you contact the management and do something about it since you are responsible for commenting on these reviews. There is no general manager ever present at this gym. Just the front desk people who don't know anything. For a few thousand dollars they can make this place great but they choose not to. Now that they raised the price they are no longer competitive and there are other options for us in the area. Oh and I forgot to mention that bird feces all over the front entrance that is tracked into the location. Not as bad as the Woodbridge location but still disgusting and a health risk. Will be calling the health department just like I did on the Woodbridge location. Don't tell me to call the landlord like you did last time you are the tenant you reach out to the landlord. I would get rid of some of the front desk staff. Huge miscommunication between the Staff members. I am a black card memeber and have been with planet for 4 years never used the guest option until recently. Staff memeber at this location stated the massages and tanning beds were only for memebers and not guest so my guest could not use it. A few days later a woman in front of me had asked if her guest is allowed to use the massages and they said yes. Another incident I scheduled a session with a trainer and took off from work. Showed up at 6am and the staff was puzzled by the appointment. They said the trainer would be in by 11am and that he doesn't come in at 6 ( claimed the sign up sheets were outdated. Then why have them out??) frustrated I rescheduled it later that day when they said he would be there according to his schedule. This time as it got closer to the time I called them to see if he was in and they told me he left for the day 4 hours prior. So why wouldn't you oh i don't know CALL the customer?? To add the front desk staff has a "I don't care" attiditude I would honestly hire staff that is not only well informed but also professional. I have been member for 3yrs.

Today I was at the gym March 21 8:30 AM when I was in 30 minute workout room finished my workout got up to go get stuff to clean machine and fell over the step machines they have in the middle of the floor I believe there is about six or seven in a circle. Which is right in front of all the equipment which to me is not safe. I did fall and fell and hurt my foot my backbone and my shoulder when I went upfront the girl couldn’t even speak English. I tried to explain to her and took her to the back room and showed her how I felt and how unsafe the set up is . There was two witnesses which helped me up but when it came time to make up a report they left. There was a woman finally at the counter that came and took a little information on a white piece of paper with not much as an accident report I did get hurt They were very unprofessional it seems to me that they don’t care about the people that are there they’re all for the money.
