EB Hair Co. & Bloom Boutique — Attraction in Lindon

I'm usually not one to write reviews but I felt like I needed to share! I won't mention the stylist's name because I liked her but I had a terrible experience there last week. I have naturally curly hair and for those of you who do also, you know what a treat it is to get your hair done and styled every once in a while. After my wash she took me back to the chair and even though I didn't want a trim or cut, she didn't ask me if I wanted a trim.

Then she started blow drying my hair and explained to me that she learned this new technique and started doing it. It did NOT look good and I could tell that she knew it didn't look good either. It was tangled and a frizzy mess. She didn't ask me how I wanted my hair styled and was simply trying to rush me out the door because her next client was there. She has done my hair before and knows how long my appointments take. I left with my hair still wet and this was the second time I have left that salon with wet hair! It looked terrible. I had big plans that night and the following day and almost felt like crying because I felt ugly leaving the salon. I had to go home and do my hair myself.

I called the salon back and asked the receptionist if it cost extra to style hair at their salon or if I needed to ask the stylists to style it. She assured me that styling is complimentary with your appointment and did not cost any extra money. She then realized I was the one who just left with wet hair and tried to cover for the stylist by saying that the salon just assumed that clients with curly hair want their hair styled curly. I was pretty upset to say the least! And it was VERY expensive!!! I didn't even get a cut! In the end the color turned out good but from my experiences so far I will probably never go back to Ella...

Alrighty, first, my stylist: Ahhhh Krystal was my stylists and I love her!! ❤️❤️ Super fun, knowledgable, friendly, and just all around the sweetest person I’ve ever met. I’m used to stylists who have thrown me lots of attitude, were hesitant to communicate/touch my hair, or knew anything beyond the choppy pixie-cuts or A-line haircuts given to every typical soccer mom. She knows her stuff and was super easy to talk to (and I’m a huge introvert who sometimes has a hard time speaking above a whisper in new places)

And just to drive in the point of how amazing she is, I’m a new driver and on my way there made a small driving mistake that ended with me shaking with anxiety by the time I arrived. Ten minutes in just her care and I completely forgot all about it.

My Hair: I wanna cry (of happiness). Every time I’ve gone to a salon at like the mall or (bleh) Walmart I leave with my hair puffy and frizzy cuz the stylists’ forget that they’re working with thick, POC hair and they use the wrong products and techniques.

After going here, I walked out with hair that wasn’t puffy or frizzy or just ugh for the first time EVER. I actually didn’t lie when I said I LOVED my new hair cut! Beautifully priced, and I am SOOOO mad that after 7 years of bad haircuts I’ve discovered this place right when I’m about to move!!

Their products are also very high quality and worth every penny, a cute little gift shop was inside that my 1 year old absolutely loved to run around (Supervised by my uncle of course) and all around just friendly staff in general. Even as I was leaving I had other clients telling me how great this place is! 10/10...

Great salon and Boutique. Blakely, has done my hair many times and it has always turned out fantastic. The first time I went to Ella bloom was in 2012 when I needed a color correction and a cut fixed. The previous stylist I had at another salon did a terrible job. I have extremely thick and long hair. Many hair stylists get tired after doing it for hours. Which was the case with another salon. I found this salon and told my stylist (Blakely) the issue. She evened out the layers, fixed the choppy side bangs and gave my hair a gorgeous color that I had originally wanted. I went to her for cuts, styles and color around 10 times before I moved to Wisconsin in 2014. She is fantastic. I wish I visited Utah long enough to have her do my hair again.

The salon is also a very nice and relaxing atmosphere. All staff are very friendly and the little boutique has fantastic clothing and accessories.
