I really enjoy Beard park for our scouting den meetings, or just for a day of playing, and appreciate the open spaces and the playground equipment for the kids. I would like to see more covered areas, but could see that with the small space it’s hard to fit in more covered areas or even more seating. There is only one large covered area with a few picnic style tables, but other than that, there is no escaping the elements at this location.

The many webs and spiders make it difficult for little ones to play and be at ease. Any measures the city could implement to prevent or mitigate the spider population here would go a long way toward helping visitors make the most of this beautifully...
