Great experience, so glad we discovered this place. We came here because of our pogo passes, as they are a participating establishment. There are closer places to our home but the pass made it worth the trip. Drove 1.5 hours to get here. Met up with some friends. Went on a Wednesday evening at 4ish. Long line to get in.
Well staffed, lots of lifeguards present throughout the space, walking around and monitoring.
There was a large water playground area for smaller kids, flow rider, lazy river, pools with floats to jump across, a few slides, a cannonball rock and a climbing wall. We came here instead of a larger Waterpark because I have two children who do not know how to swim. This was a perfect space for us (7 and 10).
There was plenty to do in the three hours we were here. Both of my children are taller than 4ft and the only area too deep for them was the cannonball/rock climbing wall area (8ft pool) all of the others were less than 4ft deep.
Two bathroom areas, locker rooms, party rooms and a large upstairs area overlooking the park. I used both bathrooms while there and they were both clean and stocked. I get very nervous since my kids don't swim but between the lifeguards and the visibility from the seating areas, I felt comfortable and didn't have to follow my kids around. Life jackets available for those that need them.
Snack shoppe prices were reasonable for a waterpark. We ordered food. Burger was tasty. We couldn't find the adult beverages, would have purchased a few. You can bring in your own food. We brought water bottles with us and may pack some snacks next time.
Inquired about cabanas, we were told 90$ for the day and 20$ an hour for today. Not sure if that is everyday prices. Since we were only there for a short amount of time we opted out. If they had cabanas on the flowrider/kids area side we would have jumped on it, since there weren't many seats in that area on the ground floor and the benches aren't the most comfortable for someone who's had back surgery.
Temperature in the space was comfortable both in the air and in the water.
Flow rider line wasn't too long. The staff working the flow rider were very patient with my son, who had a hard time figuring out how to get up on the board. The staff were encouraging and modeled what to do, which encouraged him to try again a second time. He easily could have left defeated, but instead, he felt motivated to try again next time we come.
Bathrooms have baby changing tables. One of the bathroom areas also has a family bathroom.
Park was clean. The park was accessible. There was handicap parking in front. There was an elevator to the second floor and ramps throughout the space. I noticed what i think was a lift into the pool just in front of the cabanas and that pool connects to the lazy river also.
Happy with our visit.
‐------- Only cons (which were not a big deal) It was a bit noisy inside. There were a few parties. It started to get a little crowded on a weeknight.
Not much seating by kiddie area. Eventually I became comfortable with the space and hung out upstairs but wished there were seats on first floor by the kids area.
On second floor, there were lots of people holding tables and chairs with towels. A lady let us use her unused table when she saw we had food and were using a chair as a table. This is not unique to this space, we have this challenge every time we go to a waterpark or pool.
There were a few rust marks around the park. It could use a little freshening up. The entire park is pretty humid so I imagine they have to keep up with this more often than not. We will definitely be back, this is a perfect space for my kids, staff are polite/kind and the location is great. Cute little lakefront area made us feel like we were on a...
Read moreI want to start off and say 90% of this place is awesome and well run. The food and bar areas are well priced and quick. The souvenir cup has unlimited refills. There's plenty of tables and chairs between outside and inside. The surf machine is great, the slides are fun and the staff is friendly. They have a little of everything for all ages and the day was really fun. Overall, we had a mostly great experience.
As far as negatives it's been mentioned in previous reviews, there are no real showers, so people are getting in dirty and there is no way to shower before leaving and going to dinner or going to other places. There are also a lot of people allowed to swim in street clothes and shoes.
The worst, though, is the "lazy" river. This is anything but lazy. There are only 10-15 donuts available, and so most kids are getting in and swimming it. Be prepared to be kicked, hit, pushed, and everything in between while trying to relax and float. I had two interactions with unsupervissed 10-12 year old kids that physically attacked my 6 and 8 year olds. One kid swam under my 6 year olds donut and came up into it and grabbed the donut and turned it upside down 3 times, throwing my daughter out of it. This happened directly in front of the life guard who watched it happen and didn't do anything. Then, another kid wanted to swim in between my son, there was plenty of room to our right as we were taking up less than half of the river and to one side and moving with the flow of the water, and grabbed him, push him to the other side of the river, and then kicked him.
We also saw three children under 6 almost drown that were by themselves in the lazy river, and the lifeguards didn't notice, and adults in and around had to save them. There was also a huge family inculding multiple adults with a bunch of the donuts turning the river into a wave pool. They were hitting people and jumping on them with the donuts to make the wave, and the lifeguards ignored it until the 5th time around when I asked them to intervene. There should be at least 4 life guards for this area, but there are 2, and they sit in their chairs and ignore what is going on. People are also allowed to walk the river in the opposite direction and stand around the edge with large groups of people blocking more than 75% across it all of this directly in front of the life guards with no interaction. There are also two stairs into the river that no one uses they just jump in without looking and land on people in the river. Please put rules into place for the lazy river and staff and enforce them for the enjoyment of everyone...
Read moreMy husband and I went yesterday for Frozen day with our 3 year old. Here is my “know before you go” Don’t bother with getting tickets in advance. I was uncomfortable with giving them so much personal information online so I just decided to buy them at the door. When we purchased our tickets they asked none of the detailed information needed online and no waivers were even mentioned. They do not seem to be monitoring the number of people because it was way overcrowded. We got there at 11 AM on a Saturday. Come with your suit on and only what you need. There are no changing rooms. You have to change in a bathroom stall that is wet and gross. No one is monitoring the bathrooms or seems to care about cleaning them. The lockers are small and cost 8 to 12 dollars. They also seem to be very limited. Also the family bathroom has no lock. They do have a sign telling you to knock loudly. Please fix this. They don’t seem to have enough life jackets at the lazy river and they don’t police wearing them for littles. The lifeguards are about 14 and do not look like they plan to get wet anytime soon. They do exhibit typical teenage facial expressions and body language. The bar upstairs is the only seating and unless you get there early and claim a table you aren’t sitting anywhere. There are tables and couches but it looks like an underpass with everyone’s stuff everywhere. The food was not working when we were there and with no where to sit to eat we did not even try it. The lazy river was actually the best part for us. I can see where it could get wild. The toddler area is very small and there is a lot of water that lands on them. Kind of scary for my kiddo. They turned off the water because they had speakers out for the frozen peeps. This was perfect for my son. He was actually able to use the slides that normally have some kid dumping water down. (They have this feature that allows kids to turn on higher amounts of water that seems unnecessary for a toddler play area. The bigger kiddo area has water guns and my son was easy pickings. May be fun for some but there were many unsupervised kids around.
All in all it was very affordable. We spent 60 dollars for about an hour. We could not stay longer due to no seating, overcrowding and no food. The water was warm and it seemed pretty comfy in there. My son keeps asking to go back so he enjoyed it. We ate across the street and it was...
