Well. What can I say. Iâve always loved Tenders, probably ate here twice a week since opening. My biggest weakness is the breakfast tacos. However⌠unfortunately I was lectured this morning when I picked up my 3 breakfast tacos because I asked for extra salsa. You know the delicious salsa they have specifically for the breakfast tacos? Well apparently⌠and they were very adamant about this. A customer is only allowed one per taco! Now keep in mind the salsa is the size of a thimble and not even a full thimble so stupid of me to ask for enough for more than a bite!? Clearly they arenât Texans. I was so ignorant to think they were in the business of selling food. I mean if your that destitute remove the salt and pepper , lemons , sugar packets every other condiment. Itâs odd when I buy $100 in bbq Iâm not told how much bbq sauce Iâm required to pour on it. So I guess Iâm confused at why even offer salsa in the first place. I mean Taco Bell does the same thing they give you 2 packets no matter what you order but they have them sitting out in the lobby allowing you to grab all you like. But tenders holds them in the back because they want to dictate how much salsa you want.
Oh well , they just saved themselves a lot of salsa now, not to mention the pleasure of my business and money.
I have numerous options on where to do Business and it certainly wonât be somewhere that charges me money and determines how I eat my food. You could simply say no extra salsa but the lecture was not only rude but completely unwarranted and has cost...
Read moreRandom Tuesday for dinner and hadnât stopped in here yet because we have lots of great choices in North DFW and nothing about this place really stood out driving by.
Ordering was easy. The Chopped pork sandwiches were huge and tasty. Mac and cheese was delicious. BBQ sauce was warm and delightful. They brought us JalapeĂąos that added some heat to the pickles and onions.
The decor: deer trophies all across the walls, heavy wood with bible verses arenât the decor style I would go with⌠but my opinion here is irrelevant and I can respect folks having different decor preferences.
The entire team here on this night were so servant in nature. To the point my wife who didnât want to stop here was impressed with this place. They offered BBQ to go when she asked for a to go box. They showed her to the restroom when they saw her wondering like a lost lamb. They offered a bag in addition to a to go container which contained hand drawn decor on it. I mean Ritz Carlton friendly and helpful! This was an awesome experience we werenât expecting! Maybe it was just by happen chance? But I doubt it.
I am a tough critic and we only patrons this spot by chance.
10/10 for BBQ as I have nothing to complain about 10/10 for service! We love small family owned businesses and we loved the service this place delivered on this night. We will definitely return and will recommend this spot to anyone looking for really good BBQ with next level service! Keep up...

I have a project down the street from the new location of Tenders in Little Elm, and have been eagerly awaiting the opening of it. Well, I have good news, they are finally open! đĽł
They are doing a little bit of work to the patio outside still but inside is up and ready to rock ânâ roll. I have been to all of the locations of tenders. Itâs one of my favorite go to for some awesome Texan barbecue, and this location stands up to the hype!
I went around 2:30 on a Friday, hadnât eaten all day, so it was definitely ready to eat! I ordered the lean brisket and the smoked turkey. Served with delicious pickles, Texas toast, and delicious BBQ sauce. The brisket was smoky and had a fabulous flavor. The turkey has a nice pepper flavor and was cooked really well.
The people are really what makes Temderâs stand out at every location. They go out of their way to make sure you understand the menu if itâs your first time and check on you multiple times during your meal. One of the managers from the Aubrey location I recognized chatted up with a bit, really top-notch folks.
The aesthetics inside are the same, rustic decor of the others, they have tall, built-in booths and tables throughout. Lots of Trophy animals around.
If you are in the aLittle Elm area next to all the happening areas, tin man social, Hula hat, and like, be sure to stop by for some awesome BBQ! You wonât be...
