When you’re planning a family reunion for 50+ people, sometimes you need a little help, especially when it is a multi-day event! The staff at The Elm Hotel is exactly what you need. They were all professional, incredibly attentive, patient, helpful and anticipated our every need. It’s really difficult these days to find good customer service and especially that which is genuine. Look no further, the entire staff at The Elm Hotel, fits that to a T!
The Elm Hotel is in a great location, with close proximity to three great parks, plus a great beach area at the lake, which made it ideal for our family reunion.
There is so much to do in Little Elm, from great restaurants like Tender BBQ to The Tower Tap House…The Elm Hotel is even close enough to satisfy your sweet tooth with ice cream at Stella’s or a nice warm cookie at Tiff’s Treats, just steps away from the hotel’s front door!
The decor and panoramic view from the lobby and the restaurant on the fourth floor is amazing! The rooms are incredibly spacious, comfy beds, well decorated and very clean!
All the family was impressed with the quality and presentation of the food and the wait staff in the restaurant, as well. They were especially fond of the extensive coffee bar!
My entire family would like to thank each of the staff at The Elm Hotel for an incredible experience, while attending our annual family reunion!! The entire staff went above and beyond to make my family feel welcome and make their stay most enjoyable! The family all commented back to me and gave the staff and hotel extremely high marks. They were all impressed by how great the staff treated them.
Thanks again and kudos to you and your staff for an outstanding...

I recently stayed at this newly built hotel, and while the location and the structure itself are impressive, the overall experience left a lot to be desired — primarily due to the staff.
The Good: The hotel is in a great spot — quiet, safe, and convenient to local attractions. The building is modern, and the rooms were very clean and well-kept. Housekeeping did a great job maintaining the room during my stay. The food at the restaurant was okay — not bad, but nothing to rave about either.
The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the staff lacked professionalism and proper training. From check-in to check-out, there was a clear absence of customer service. Simple questions seemed to confuse the front desk. One glaring issue: I inquired about extending my stay by one more night, and a young man at the front desk told me they were completely sold out. I later found out from another guest that rooms were, in fact, available. That dishonesty (or incompetence) was incredibly frustrating.
On top of that, when ordering drinks at the bar, it was clear the staff had no clue how to make even the most basic cocktails. One drink was so bad I couldn't finish it. I also encountered several staff members who were flat-out rude and dismissive — acting as if guests were a bother rather than the reason the hotel exists.
Bottom Line: This hotel has so much potential — the location is great, But the staff attitude, lack of training, and poor service completely ruined the experience. Unfortunately, because of this, I will not be returning. A beautiful hotel means nothing if the people running it make you...
Read moreAbsolute nightmare. The light bulbs were out in the room. They wanted us to change them. The AC system kept turning back to cold at 69, even when you set it to 72. Once it reached 72, it reverted to cold. I got a severe sore throat from the constant change. I had to get up multiple times through the night to readjust. I called the front desk. After 20 minutes of noone picking up, I went upstairs. Nobody was at the front desk. Just a sign saying they were helping another guest. AT 5 AM???? I am fairly certain that the employee was asleep in a bed in a room. What a joke of a hotel. They over charge and under deliver. I waited in the lobby for an hour and a half. Finally, a guy named mark. I don't think that was his name, came out of a bedroom. He admitted to being asleep. He stated that management allows him to have a room to sleep in. So I guess they pay their employees to sleep rather than work. He got angry that he was caught and told me to "get on with my life" and "getout" along with other insults when I asked him why sleeping on the job was appropriate. He then claimed that this was the first time ever. However, this contradicted his previous statdments. I recorded his interaction and will be reporting him. It was apparent from his attitude that he felt like nothing would happen to him.
Angela Castillja, is this how you run your operations? Allowing people to sleep on the job and then insult customers when they get caught.
