The owner has the worst attitude ever don’t go there!! So basically, I’m a constant creator and I sell made handmade jewelry. I was just looking around maybe find another bead shop that had some more options for me so I go to Argenta bead company in Little Rock Ar And I was just looking around. I didn’t think much about the pricing because it was set up the same as all these other shops I’ve been to, also she had less beads on strands there so I thought the price would lower but it wasn’t at all! I picked everything out and I was good to go until I went to the check She started ringing me up and when she told me my total was $90 I was shocked because I really didn’t pick out much So I ask her Can I look through the stuff and pick out some stuff that I don’t want so I can change the price so that’s what I did. I made two piles one with stuff that I didn’t want the other with stuff that I wanted and I pacifically told her this is the pile that I want, After she rung up that pile, she moved onto the next one The one I told her I didn’t want and started ringing them up. I didn’t notice it at first because we were just chatting, But once I told her she looks at me with The most disgusted look I’ve ever seen on someone. and says exactly “Great now I have to stay later to put all this stuff away!” I just stare at her in disbelief that a shop owner would ever say that to one of their customers that is paying them money I am very low and I told her I’m a 18 year old teenager living alone trying my best to make as much money as possible. This is not a good place to go to if you’re looking for good quality beads and charms, she has everything overpriced, and it’s really not a...
Read moreAbout a year ago I went to buy a bunch of beads as little trinkets for Christmas presents I put them in little boxes. I got some beads priced by mass as filler for them. I went to check out and was actually shocked how expensive it was I almost cried because I had thought I was keeping track of how much the beads were. I paid it and was embarrassed but then I looked at the receipt. None of the beads I bought by mass were entered by mass. The cashier put a random and huge number as quantity instead and it probably uncharged me $50+. Then I realized that they never even got out a scale while checking me out. I don’t mean this review in bad faith it could’ve been an accident and I was too embarrassed to go back and give them a chance to fix it. But be warned. The gifts were lovely and I had such a fun time making them and picking out beads, just I fear I can never give that place any more...
Read moreSo, it's been a few years now since I have been going to Argenta Bead. They are in a new location now, but it's still the same great place with an overwhelming selection of beads and jewelry making items.
You can get custom made jewelry here, you can get jewelry repaired or altered. Frankly, I think they under charge for these services given the amount of skill that goes into the work.
The staff is very knowledgeable and will help you figure out how to accomplish your project, but you need to have some idea of what you want!! Bring pictures and they can help you figure out how to make it!
They also have regular classes for different techniques. You should check out their Facebook event page and sign up for a class or two!
Honestly, I could spend hours at this store just looking, and still probably see something new the next time I came in! I...
