The pharmacy is terrible and has been for 5 years. Finally making the switch to Meijer. I never receive notifications when prescriptions are ready. Calling the pharmacy doesn’t help resolve any issues when you immediately get put on hold when they answer. Sometimes I’ll drive up to the pharmacy to be greeted by a hand written poster in the window stating “drive thru closed. Come inside.” Which isn’t convenient when picking up medications for sick children that are also in the car and now also have to go inside and wait in a 12 person line.
I’ve presented a tech with a Good RX coupon at the end of her scanning my prescriptions to be met with “now I have to do it all over again. That comes first.” I was never greeted with a hello or eye contact or asked if I had coupons at the beginning of the transaction. If any of those things would have happened, maybe the coupon would have been noticed at the beginning of the transaction. Tonight I called, asked a question and was put on hold followed by being hung up on. I called back and the pharmacist said, “ Didn’t you just call?” Yes I did, I was hung up on. She said, “I thought you were just coming in and our conversation was over.” Nope, no questions were answered so clearly it was not over.
Everyone there acts like they hate their job. Rude, short, no eye contact, zero problem solving skills and ALWAYS huffing and...
Read moreOne plus is that the building is new and clean. And I like that they will hire diversely; there is a lady in head scarf and some with colored hair and tattoos. People need to stop thinking this is "so unprofessional", move on and accept that we all need jobs and not everyone views it as such. You really shouldnt be turned down for work for religious reasons and I really like the pharmacy techs blue hair; our lives are not for serving our 'professionalism' they are to afford our fun. My reason for low score is that the pharmacy closes too early on the weekends. Lockport has become a big a busy town with no pharmacies even open late... and we need one that is 24 hr here. But 5 PM Sat & Sun? For many of us we're not even off work before they close. I'm changing locations for this reason... I keep walking in here and finding them closed and if the line is long it takes forever. These people show no signs of sense of urgency. They are in a slow mosey all the time. And several times cashiers (both store and pharmacy) have no greeting... it's so awkward when they just stare and wait for you to walk up. SAY: HELLO, MAY I HELP YOU. Something. Let me know theres a...
Read moreThe Pharmacy has dropped in quality considerably in the past few years. I was charged for one medication and given given the wrong medication in my bag. For me this wasn't life threatening but this could kill someone.
I requested a refill on on Friday and the website said it would be ready on Saturday at 1pm, I requested it be moved out to Sunday at 1pm (6/4/23) because I would be out of town. I went into the Pharmacy at 4:30pm today to pickup. There was one person in line before me. I was there maybe 3 minutes and the man in line before me asked if anyone was working the counter. A young woman responded to him saying she didn't see him there. After she finished with him, I moved up in line. She basically just looked at me, no hello, no welcome to Walgreens, nothing but a stare. I requested my refill, she then told me that the medication is not kept at the pharmacy and would not be there until Monday or Tuesday. It seems Walgreens now uses distribution centers to fill certain medications that are then shipped to the requesting store.
Rude staff, mistakes, and now delays are what prompts me to warn others about...
