Asian Harbor — Restaurant in Lockport

This establishment was alright with me at first. My first time ordering a few weeks ago I had ordered the shrimp fried rice. It was a bit greasy and lacked flavor but it wasn't terrible, and the employees seemed nice. So I returned today for a second time because I didn't feel like cooking. I entered the restaurant. I'm standing directly at the counter. No one is at the counter. A white chick walks in and is behind me and nowhere near the counter. The employee approaches the counter and greets whom??? You guessed it. The white chick standing caddy-cornered 5 feet behind me; the person actually standing AT THE COUNTER. I thought she was speaking to me because that's what made sense. So I greeted her in return, but when I heard the chick behind me respond in unison, I knew there going to be a problem. I was correct. This bxtch had the audacity to ask which one of us came in first!! I was floored! I had to raise my voice at this idiot. I DID! ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS?? So apparently if you're white and you come here, you're greeted first and you came in first no matter what. The ignorance on display at this place today made me sick. I will never patronize this establishment with my black dollar again and if you're black, enter at...

Awful food...Bad experience all around !!! I ordered from Asian Harbor due to the fact that my usual Chinese take out place was closed for remodeling.

So I placed a standard order most Chinese restaurants would have...

Sweet and Sour Shrimp Four Seasons Shrimp w/ Broccoli

I was told that they don't do Sweet and Sour Shrimp... (Strange, but I switched to Orange Chicken)...No problem.

I asked how many Crab Ragoons come in an order, she said "eight".

So i asked for two orders

Lastly, I asked if they could substitute lo-mein noodles for the rice, on the Four Seasons... (my other place does it for us every time)... She said "No substitutions"... OK...No problem... She offered a side of Noodles for $4.99 extra...I took a pass...

Wife went to pick it up. $48.55... Quite Pricey !!! (My usual place would have been no more than $35.00 for the same order)...So this was significantly higher.

Worst part... They only gave us one order of the Ragoons... And the rest of the Food wasn't anywhere near as good as my usual place....actually, it wasn't good at all...It was awful. Very disappointed !!!

Moral if the story... The minute she told me that they don't serve Sweet and Sour Shrimp... I should have gone...

We are new to the area and it was recommended by my nephew. Asian Harbor did not disappoint. The flavor and texture was top- notch, while the prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. We ordered a variety of food, including: white tuna sushi, chicken lo mein, Mongilian beef, shrimp in lobster sauce and an few appetizers (Harbor shrimp and gyoza). Everything was delicious. Everything was eaten. A few tasty grains of rice remain.

There was actual chicken in the fried rice, not just burnt crusty pieces, but actual recognizable chicken. The egg rolls were not soaking in grease, just crispy and delicious. My shrimp in lobster sauce was a color I've never seen before (clear vs dark brown) but was better than just about any I've ever had. The chicken lo mein was demolished almost instantly so assume it was great. Even my sashimi was thicker cuts of meat than I am accustomed to. Oh, and who knew fried shrimp and asparagus go so great together? These guys knew. It's excellent.

My kids, including my picky-eater 6 yo son ate everything we put in front of him, which NEVER happens. Meal was a huge success. 10/10...
