This park would get 6 stars if not for the City of Long Beach’s ridiculous homeless people issues and lack of policy controlling them. On some mornings there are multiple homeless persons camped out in sleeping bags under the trees. Mere yards away from $1M+ homes adjacent to the park. I was even assaulted by one of them while walking my dogs. After calling the police, no action was taken and the homeless person camped there all day for all I know, probably harassing school children, etc. City of LB has the highest f-ing sales taxes in the US. Where does that money go? Do something about our homeless issues.

One of my favorite places in the Long Beach area. Across from Marine Stadium, it's a large park with tennis courts, kids' play area, nice palm trees and lush green grass. Well-placed and clean public restrooms as well. You'll often find local people out on their fitness walks, kicking a soccer ball around or hosting a large picnic. Especially fun on 4th of July, Memorial Day, etc. But come early to get a good spot! Also a great spot for walking your pup!

We had an incredible new member celebration for our fellowship at this park. It's a really nice area, and the oceans proximity makes for a very serene and encouraging park. Plenty of space to play soccer or to have a picnic and parking is reasonable.

Being adjacent to Marine Stadium and the farmer's market every Wednesday, this park is the hub of activities in the neighborhood.

There are soccer practice and football games on weekdays, and cricket matches on weekends. The tennis courts are heavily utilized, and the picnic area provides the perfect location for birthday celebrations.

The playground on the south side next to the tennis court is entirely shaded and well-maintained. Parking is not an issue unless it's Wednesday and there is a large crowd for the farmer's market. There is a relatively clean public restroom too.

If you are a Pokemon GO fan, there are at least five Pokestops around the park, and the playground is a gym. The two Pokestops on Colorado are often lit up with Lure Modules.

The only downside for the park is that the grass turf is torn up in many parts because the field is heavily used, and there are many dog poop scattered...

Lot of green space, which is great. There are several onsite facilities to enjoy (baseball field, tennis courts & playground). There's not much lighting for nighttime activities, so plan accordingly. They have two on site public toilets for use, too.

On the weekends the field typically is occupied by cricket game or various parties. There is no grilling allowed but you might catch people here and there bending the rules.

During the summer and throughout the year, various public events are put on by the city/community (concerts & movies). It's first come, first served so plan accordingly.

People are pretty good about picking up their messes, so the park is fairly clean. And it never hurts to pick up a piece here and...
