I wish I could give this place a negative rating but it won't allow me to. So what happened was I pre-ordered tickets to a 7:30 showing for the new Mario Brothers 3D for my buddies birthday. We went to the mall watch your own got some food gone to the theater went into the theater was there for like 2 minutes and the manager lady proceeded to come up to us and tell us that we could not be smoking in the theater and and tell us that that someone had reported us smoking which we were not we were in the front row by ourselves in the very middle at five and six seats. So she leaves and not even 3 minutes later she comes back and tells us we have to leave that we are we cannot smoke in here and that they have been watching us and we are smoking something and blah blah blah and we have to leave. She wouldn't listen to us she rushed us out gave me a refund and told me I had to leave that she was the top boss and there's no manager above her. Her name is Karen and she treated me very bad and my friend very bad. She falsely accused us and gave us no chance to even respond to these accusations. I am very disappointed with this place it's the first time in years since I've gone to the theater and my buddies never even seen one in 3D and he was the one that wanted to go just seconds before the movie starts we get kicked out for no reason completely confused and baffled at why we were being accused of something when we're very clearly sitting in the front row under lights before the showing started. Who would be stupid enough to do that. I would never recommend this place they did not know how to treat people. Karen seems to have some superiority complex and doesn't seem to understand that her job revolves around being in service to people and all engagements should be treated with professional respect. I was kicked out for a false accusation. And no one there cared at all. It is horrible to be kicked out of a place in front of all those people. First time it's ever...
Read moreThis is one of the most expensive theaters in the area. However, we have been going here for years because of its proximity to our home. The seats are not angled well; you have to sit in the back row or two to avoid cranking your neck back and having a totally distorted view of the screen. The concessions stand is completely lacking in anything but super overpriced movie stuff, like popcorn and candy. They haven't picked up on the demand for alternate snacks or hot food, like other high-end theaters have adopted. Anyway, like I said, we still would continue to go to this theater despite these issues because it's close to our house. However, tonight we had a horrible experience, and I won't be going back. We got our tickets for a 6:20 movie (an awkward movie time, but whatever). We had 40 minute til our movie started, so we ran to the Fuzzy's next door for a quick bite. Well, Fuzzy's was crowded, it took 30 minutes to get our food, so we just got it to-go and ran back to the theater. Now, I know theaters generally have a no-outside-food rule, but considering I had just spent $76 on tickets, another $47 on candy, sodas, and popcorn, you'd think they'd let it slide. Oh no. Not this manager. She came storming out and berated me in front of my kids and their friends for almost 10 minutes. I tried to argue that the kids just wanted to eat a few bites of dinner, but she was so incredibly rude that I was just terribly embarrassed. Her whole issue was that "Mexican food stinks" even though I explained we just had kids' chicken fingers. She said "the smell of your Mexican food will ruin the experience for the whole theater." It should be noted there were only 5 other people in the theater, 3 of which were eating sandwiches they brought in. Anyway, there are multiple other theaters in the area. There's no need to pay the high prices of Regal for uncomfortable seats, price-gouging at the concessions stand, and a rude, insulting,...
Read moreHad a really interesting experience today… my boyfriend (Native American), his cousin, and myself went over to see a movie today. A group of 3 young white boys were behind the concession counter. They were chatting amongst themselves so I went over to the line where the two workers were cleaning something up behind a register. We were waiting patiently when one of the 3 chatting boys calls us over. He boredly asks us what we want and then runs my boyfriend’s card before asking for our Regal Membership (discount on popcorn, collect points for rewards, etc.), I honestly didn’t think anything of it until I went back for another drink. I watched the same boy who purposely didn’t ask us for our membership was doting over an elderly white man to help him find his membership who ended up not having a membership at all. They even offered to help him set up his account. Then, when I returned and was helped by one of the chatty boys, they refused me a beer after already having a wristband denoting I showed ID and had already had an alcoholic beverage. I was also going to purchase a food item in addition and said forget it when he demanded ID. I went back to the movie and fumed for the rest of it. This trip was not a good experience for me or the guests who I brought with who were people of color, and were denied the same experience of an elderly white male. I’ve never experienced this treatment with any other employee. The last time we came, there was a girl who wore glasses and seemed of Latino descent that took excellent care of us, so I’ve gotten into the habit of gravitating towards her when we go. I was trying to wait for her to finish up when the boys called us over today. I will be avoiding their service going forward, and should they be the only one’s there, I’d rather just wait to eat until after the movie at a different establishment. Everyone should be treated the same when they go to see a...
