It's Jody with a "y" genius. Update: This response is to reflect how amazed that an "owner(s)" of a business would respond with such an untruthful account of events. Although I am not suprised. You all could have had a 5 star review in the very beginning with very little effort from just attempting to resolve or communicate these simple issues you all created. You chose to ignore that, and even call out, in public my partner for the honest first review and ask her to change it. When she didn't write it, and you never addressed nor attempted a resolution. Instead you chose to falsify, attack, and demean customers, and I don't mean just us. Every one of your less than 5 star reviews, you're defensive, condescending, and unprofessional. Your other 1 star review says: "owned by the worst kind of people". I can agree based on our experiences. It is surprising to see your untruthful response to my critical review to help you learn. This is what reviews are for to show excellency or things that need changing. What is really interesting is your response of untruthful occurrences that you feel happened that did not. I am certain we ordered $20 or more daily for months asking for items on the menu that were almost always out and sharing our frustration with the baristas in hopes of a change. We were very outwardly sharing this before posting a review and the barista said they were frustrated as well and couldn't do anything but tell you to order more items so you don't run out. For certain we were never harassing to staff, you or anyone and only confused as to why this would be written here. We made multiple suggestions to all and were surprised at your defensive and ignorant conversations being the owners and why we stopped going. We only questioned why you didn't consistantly have basic coffee shop items like chocolate for mocha, napkins, honey, drip coffee or whip. To say we were mean or rude is not honest. Just typing this feels like a waste of time matching your energy of this response feels like responding to a disgruntled teenager. BUT I feel people should know who they are supporting. So, why did we support you if we had so many poor experiences. Because you were open the latest and weren't a corporate chain and we support local first. Again, hoping for amazing service, coffee and all good vibes. Are there better consistent and more friendly coffee shops in Longmont-yes many. All businesses have pluses and minuses though and all we did was share where improvements were greatly needed for your success. Your attitude reflects who you really are on here which is what we experienced with you in person and now everyone else can see who you really are behind the fake smiles are hurt egos. Also, don't recall being kicked out ever especially after spending tons of money for a place that doesn't create a loving opportunity to hear what's not working. We left on purpose because of this. Not sure about the love letter you are referring to either. Just wow.
But, you calling someone insane is very showing as well and your response is so wild for you to write all of that false nonsense when you could of written an apology message asking to speak to make this all right or actually admitting to all of your lack of experience would be more appropriate. Maybe even a free drink which was never offered by you. So it shows you need the money and lack funds to make it better. If our concerns were addressed appropriatly in person or on the first review this wouldn't have even been written. I hope you can reflect back on these reviews, make adjustments, conduct yourselves in a business manner, as you are the owners to be able to make this right. Where's the love? Go find out at FeelLove Coffee to learn. Thanks for showing us and others your true selves. Hope you learned something very...
Read moreThese boys are such a bunch a of liars. Don't go here, they accuse customers that spent over 1k dollars ofharassment. They are obviously uneducated and dont know the definition of harrassment. This place is genuinely a disaster of you want good quality products and service. The owners don't care and never offered to rectify a simple situation, yet they decided to attack and falsify information to attempt to discredit me. Hilarious how immature these boys are. No harassment, to exaggerations,, just truth and suggestions for improvement that hurt their ego. That's the truth. I wouldn't so much as give a homeless person their food or coffee. Enjoy reading their posts. Just look at all his responses to see who he really is. A defensive little boy.
I see the owner replied a month ago after not dealing with a situation. His immaturity and lack of integrity won't allow him to to take a look into the mirror and see the error in his ways. I can assure you, I have no fake accounts, and post both good bad and in between reviews. How low does someone have to go to attempt to say this post is fake, or my account isnt legitimate. Anyone that has any sense can see thats unbelievably low. Read his responses to his other low star reviews to get an idea about what i am referencing. The boys that operate this "coffee shop" are unfortunately not concerned with customer service or treating patrons with respect. Its consumerism, not a coffee shop. That's why we won't ever return. I would advise anyone on the border to go to ozo if in longmont. Give your money to people with good hearts, true integrity, and customer service. His attempt at ill-legitimizing my review is just another example of his lack of integrity and character. A true disgrace to the service industry i have been a part of my whole life. If you do, please post your opinions, as if you experience discrimination as i did, voice your opinion, so others know. One of the baristas there (which she was understanding and sympathetic, but couldn't do anything,) Sam is fantastic, the veteran there. If she is working, you will be spared an unforgettable horrific interaction with the owners. Normally, I would ignore things like this, but this generation of children can't take responsibility for their own actions, and blame others. So, so sad. Still no resolution, only lies. Children as owners, expectations met!
I have been here 4 times in a row now to try a new local place for me. Out of all chocolate drinks two times... Tried 3 different items from their homemade pastry selection (said all baked fresh daily on the phone then says they take out of the freezer day prior) and disappointed in all- the last one happened to be a chocolate chip banana bread (photo) which when I opened it was the butt end almost burned and hard, the other ones I tried were very dry and not good. Went 2 times and no napkins only with one girl working both times (were you really out or just put out?) Had 2 different baristas, one of the girls was awesome, experienced, super friendly, outgoing and made amazing lattes! The other times visited all napkins gone both times and no alternative offered and had to go to the restroom to look for a paper towel... the one girl needs some help in the people skills area and annoyed maybe because only one working doing all tasks and her drinks were too hot or made without precision or care. Overall, half the time was a good experience. The other half just made me feel like the one girl was bothered and inexperienced. Positive note: Nimbus coffee is great coffee (when made correctly), homemade whip, a few comfy chairs, cool lighting, and...
Read moreI don't often take time to review a place but MeCo Coffee is worth the trip across town for me. I just got back from a month in Italy and have found MeCo to be the best coffee so far out of 4 places in Longmont I have tried. I like my coffee dark but not burnt, and there is no sourness to the coffee which often comes from a lack of proper water filtration. (Nimbus roasters clearly do a great job on the roasting end).
I do know that I like dark and robust coffee so if you tend to like lighter brews, you might want to try a different blend, or one of the other great hot drinks. (I have it on good kid authority that the hot coca is also really good).
The atmosphere is friendly combo of Art gallery/shop of local crafts (plenty of great gift items here for your artsy friends), and a few tables with a really cool fireplace. It's quiet with mellow music which I also really appreciated.
Isaac (one of the owners( has been the Barista when I've been in and he's been super friendly, welcoming and made me feel right at home. If you haven't given this place a try and you like the local art scene with a seriously calm vibe- I highly...
