Sweet Cow — Restaurant in Longmont

Parking here looks like it can be iffy. Somehow we lucked out and got a spot right in front when there were no other spots to be found. Once inside, the line moves super quick as they seemed to have plenty of people working and keep things moving. They’re also happy for you to try samples. I haven’t visited in a couple years, so I certainly needed help to make a decision. The Chocolate Orange was definitely the big winner for me. Not only did it have big flavor, but it’s the kind of ice cream that melts quickly, which is my personal preference. I also had the vegan pb Oreo. While the consistency isn’t great (it doesn’t provide a smooth scoop but instead crumbles into chunks) it has pretty great flavor (I thought it was better than the other pb options). I also had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Not as powerful on flavor, but I loved the pieces of cereal in there, softened and chewy!

I ordered two different cups of ice cream. First one came out fine. Second one didn’t have the flavors I ordered after returning to my car I realized that i didn’t get what i ordered and returned back to the shop. I ordered baileys and Nutella. I got two white colored scoops of ice cream which doesn’t seem right if you look at it. Don’t get me wrong mistakes happen that is not the point but after returning it and adjusting my order i got the world’s smallest two scoops of ice cream i have ever seen. Compared it to the other cup of ice cream i had gotten there was a solid quarter missing. The amount of hot fudge they add nowadays also significantly decreased or it was just the guy who puts half the amount on it. Honestly very disappointing, sweet cow was my favorite ice cream place but spending 17$ on a sundae and i guess the kiddies scoop i got after complaining about the wrong ice cream he gave me is just...

Sandwhich was really underwhelming.

I will try the location again, but I will never get another sandwhich. It has been 20 minutes and the thing is still frozen rock solid to a point that I cant eat it without it falling apart into crumbs. There is also a skin on the ice cream, which really points to it being a bit old.

I cut it and let it warm up some but it melted very unevenly, so I had a hard and crumbly cookie, liquid ice cream outside, and a rock of completely frozen ice cream in the middle. This thing was impossible to eat and enjoy. I gave up and threw 75% in the trash.
