I LOVE Mardels as a store. We moved here from Colorado last year and I was super excited to see there was one here in Longview. I have been so disappointed however with the lack of kindness that we receive every time we go. It really feels like the workers dislike children. Every time my children are looking at books or toys there is always an employee or even a manager (the manager was the rudest of all!) that come around tsking, sighing heavily, eyeballing them, making big show about putting things EXACTLY the way they were on the shelf. The manager I mentioned was actually following us around at distance. She even went as far as to grab a miniature buggy that my two year old had found parked next to a shelf (NOT on the display shelf) right out of my two years old hands. He actually started crying. I support Mardels as a whole and buy most of our homeschool and Christian books there but I always dread coming to this store. The cashiers are stone faced, I’ve never had one person in the entire year we’ve been here, speak kindly, ask how we are doing, if we need help. Customer service is non existent unless they are huffing about me bringing children into the store. I think I just may start ordering our things online...

She didn't leave or stop watching until I said something and stood up to exit the stall. By the time I found an employee the lady was gone and I was told there was nothing they could do about it. The merchandise is good, use the...

Hours are marked 10-8 on door with banner saying 10-6. I honestly didn't see banner at first. Asked the lady that was running the vacuum if the store was open. She looked at a co worker as if to ask and turned to me to say "only for 1 minute."
True Christian attitude. You didn't know why I was coming in. You...
