The consulate provides Exceptional service. Makes me proud to be Argentinian. It all starts at the top with the consul spending time in the waiting room and talking to every customer about how the process is going and whether they need any help. What an example of dedication and understanding of customer service! Stark contrast with the Spanish consulate just above in the same building where the service is just terrible. In the Argentine consulate you can walk without an appointment and kindly be helped. Iâm applying for citizenship of our 3 children and Laura walked us through the whole process. She answered emails promptly to follow the process and was extremely competent and kind. Again, itâs a rare experience in that it makes me proud to be Argentinian. If everybody in Argentine were as competent and dedicated as the people in the consulate, it would be a very different country. Gracias a todos los empleados del consulado!!
Update: again, Iâm so proud to be Argentine. The consulate staff is unbelievably competent and kind. We received the IDs for my 3 kids. The process was extremely smooth and efficient. We felt we were supported by the staff along the way. Also, the swearing ceremony of their citizenship was lead by the consul, who is so thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable of Argentinian history. I cannot express enough gratitude and admiration for having such outstanding experience. You make us proud....
Read moreWent to the consulate to ask if I need a visa to go to Argentina for a visit with my travel document. they said we accept your refugee travel document you need to get those required 24 papers to process your visa and it takes 15 days (I have USA green card and a legal status in USA)
I collected the required papers, booked my hotel and flight that cost me $2500. And sent everything 16 days before my flight, 1 week before I depart they sent me an email saying we donât have enough time to verify your documents and we are sending your papers and document back to you..
Apparently they have no idea what they are doing at this consulate, I am getting misinformed by the employees, being told things in the email different than what I was told in person, Chaotic and unreliable process.
Now all my travel plans are canceled because they told me it will take 15 days and after changed their mind and said we donât have enough time!!
If you donât want tourist or people to come spend money at your country then be it. Suffer...
Read moreI had a great experience at the Argentinian consulate in LA. I had to get a power of attorney signed for a transaction in Buenos Aires. Unfortunately all my Argentinian documents were not up to date. After a brief email exchange with one of the consulate employees, the employee called me on the phone and spent 30 minutes explaining all the options to update my documentation. She worked with the consul to figure out a way to unblock the whole process. She also coordinated the different tasks I had to take care of for my consulate visit so that I can do them all in one single visit (I don't live in the area and had to fly in). On the day of my visit to the consulate they had all the paperwork ready and waiting for me. The consul himself took the time to walk me through the process to sign the documentation. The attention was fantastic, very professional and on time. I was done with the visit at 2:00 pm, with plenty of time to get to my return flight at the airport. A very...
