Bounce LA had the best obstacle course for young kids (and an additional area for younger kids under three) at Memorial High Park today for a birthday party. The theme of the party was pirates and mermaids and the obstacle course guys—CHAZ, ACE, and CJ— wrangled 30 children as they ran through the obstacle course, helping them to achieve their goals of climbing over high walls, balancing across planks and bouncing from one cushioned block to the next. When kids struggled, Chaz and Ace encouraged them and appropriately helped them to mount obstacles and navigate through the fun course. Even during cleanup, CHAZ stayed in character as a pirate making the typical ARRR sounds a pirate is expected to make as he rolled pieces down the hill toward the van. All three gentlemen worked with the kids well and made the party a blast! I highly recommend these guys and...

This play area near the Memorial branch library is definitely above average. There's ample street parking, and some shade.

Dropped a star because some of the people who bring their children here encourage the kids to do things like scream (unnecessarily, not for help or in case of emergency but) as part of play, to pee in the bushes in front of the library (truly - can't make this stuff up), and to not apologize for pushing other kids down, etc.

After seven+ years of exploring park space in LA, this is the only place I've ever seen each of those things happen, more than...

This is a small nice park!!! Lots of big trees so you can definitely find some shade!! The playground has a nice sized canopy to sort of cover the apparatus which is nice to not have the sun directly hit the whole thing directly!

Perks: The Memorial Library! So definitely can do both. Really nice to have that library there. Only street parking but there always seems to be enough.

Cons: sometimes too many high school students from high school across the street. They're minding their own business so not really...

Ok we visit this park three times a week. On Monday we take our teen student their and then we attend the library teen program on Wednesday we take our Preschool to Elementary students and then we attend the libraries workshop and on Saturday my children and I attend the book sale and then my daughter would ride her scooter. It's a family friendly park where people walk their dogs , have picnics in the park and use the library!

This is a small though beautiful green space. There isn't a lot to offer, just a small playground for kids and on one side the park borders a library branch, whose red brick building looks pretty nice. The park is on Olympic Boulevard, and is affected by the traffic noise.
