Usually a solid experience here, but I wanted to share a recent issue in hopes it improves future service.
I visited this location two days in a row looking for a specific item. On the first day, I asked a manager about it since it wasn’t on the shelf. She told me it was out of stock and suggested I check the website to see when it might return. She wasn’t rude, but didn’t make any effort beyond that.
The next day, after confirming via live chat that the item was in stock (I was told there were 7), I returned to the store. Still, nothing was on the shelf. I showed the chat to a different employee, who actually took initiative and checked the overstock area. Sure enough, she found 8 of the item I was looking for.
When I asked the manager about this, she dismissed the chat information as unreliable and blamed theft or loss.
But the item was there the whole time. If the other employee hadn’t gone out of her way, I would have left again empty-handed.
What bothered me most is that when I pointed out that the item was in fact in stock the entire time, the manager didn’t respond at all. No acknowledgment. Just silence.
The manager either didn’t bother to check properly or was too lazy to, which makes me wonder how often customers are told something is out of stock when it’s not.
Shoutout to the employee who went the extra mile. But management needs to step up and be more thorough in...
Read moreFYI they no longer accept Internet returns and while that's something the storefront and Internet store should figure out over loss of sales from store, it is the consumer paying for it currently. I was supposed to have prints done from a company that couldn't do it in the time frame they were supposed to have, so they cancelled my order and refunded me my purchase, but I was stuck with $70 worth of stretcher bars from Blick that I didn't need (that I hadn't even opened yet!). To ship them back to return is not worth the time or money, but perhaps a visible sign on the door would be helpful. If they have one, I wasn't looking for it, clearly. I guess you could say customer service here is stellar because I was stormed upon entering by three or 4 clerks to be told the news. Not exactly their fault to be the messengers, but I had to go out of my way to get to the store and find parking and lug this box of stretchers in. Nonetheless, I won't be buying art supplies online from Blick again. As for storefront, I will probably frequent what is most convenient geographically /parking wise, which is...
Read moreThey have alot of supplies, not so much on varieties. Prices don't match the quality (not a compliment). Staff hovers and makes it no secret, they asked if we needed help, after declining they would stand there like creeps or walk away then peek around the corner. None of that compares to the attitudes of the employees, absolutely rude and disrespectful. Going as far as to lie about the time to try to get us out of the store early, and the person who Checked us out made the comment to "hurry up, I don't have all night". Meanwhile the basket is on the counter with items in it, that she had not rung up yet was more concerned about my wife deciding to put something back. I don't plan on ever going back to this store or any of them and the sad part is, I was excited...
