California Cuts — Attraction in Los Angeles

Before anything.. just so you get the picture.. my hair mind you is EXTREMELY SHORT like almost an army haircut type style just with the small faux hawk style on top. So.. This cut yesterday was my 6th haircut here and my very LAST time. When I first got my haircut she charged me $13, she charged my friend $13 w/same style.. the next 2 times she charged me $15 with no reason raising it.. then I had another one one time just to shave the sides and neck that's it for $11. Then again $15 - then yesterday $17! I asked the owner... why are you charging me $17 when I've been getting it cut for $15 (actually you guys keep changing my price). She said: We raised it one dollar. I said WHY?? I don't understand you guys keep changing the price of my haircut and it's super short! Then 2 guys who had same style haircuts as mine were Both only charged $10!!!????? I said - Hey how come these guys get charged $10, and we have the same haircut??! I said there is something off and I think it's unfair. I asked the owner WHY. (Not that it matters - but I'm gay and I get boy haircuts).. She just looked at me and sarcastically said: Well that's what we want to charge you. I approached my hairdresser Ana and asked her why if I get same haircut as the men do how come I'm charged $15-$17?? She said: BECAUSE YOURE A WOMAN. ??????? WHAT!? I said well that's just not fair and it's discrimination! The guy looked at me and he even looked shocked and said "I'm sorry this happened to you". I couldn't believe it myself. I asked the owner for my receipt she said she couldn't give me one and I said then show my receipt that I signed and I took a photo. I couldn't believe the rude sarcastic attitudes in this place. The sign says: $8 and up (I guess the up means whatever they feel that given day). Ive never experienced this kind of treatment in my whole life. I will never go back nor ever recommend anyone going there. They all bad mouth each and the owner and even argue in front of customers! The owner gets mad at the customer if they want to choose and stick with the person they like. I will be contacting the news to let them know about this place. I think establishments need to change their rules to short hair vs long hair not what type private body part you have! Don't go here if you believe in basic equal rights. Even for just...

Went in this morning with my daughter for a haircut. We explained to the lady cut it mid back. My daughters hair was just above her butt. The lady first took my daughter into a dark bathroom and made her get on her knees to rinse her hair in the sink. Which I didn’t know. I assumed it was a wash room! Then she brought her out and immediately cut 5-6 inches off which was ok. I turned my head for a split second and she took a razor to her head cutting her hair in the front just below her chin!! Leaving the back just below her shoulders! My daughter started balling!! Was just traumatized! The lady began telling my daughter who is 9 years old “I told you if you didn’t like it this short it was going to be your fault!”, “you asked for it!” I had to tell her to stop yelling at my daughter! And to stop cutting it! In the end I had to come home and fix this woman’s mistake! I would not recommend this place...

I’ve been here multiple times. I loved the haircut but didn’t return because they used a dirty brush on me and claimed they didn’t (even though the brush came from the box labeled dirty and had hairs on it). This happened on two different occasions (same person) but I did speak up on the second occasion because I wanted to make sure I looked at this detail more carefully. Another employee cut my daughter’s hair. The first hair cut was good but the second was clearly lopsided.
