Crash Champions Collision Repair Studio City — Attraction in Los Angeles

I drive a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 truck that is my baby. Not a ding or scratch. I restore classic cars as a hobby, so I am very particular. Someone hit my truck in a parking lot, leaving a large gash in the side of the bed. My insurance company recommended I take it to Crash Champions in Studio City, CA. I went there for an estimate and dealt with James Frucht. He was friendly, very professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, he understood that my truck is more than just a vehicle. It is my baby. My insurance company wanted to fund a low-cost repair by caking on layers of Bondo, but James convinced them to pay more for a proper repair of replacing the entire metal side of the bed. This was a much more difficult and costly process, but the result was a true restoration. Crash Champions provided text updates to keep me informed of the progress and anticipated completion date, which they met. When I picked up the vehicle the paint was perfect. The bodywork was exactly as the factory would do it. There were no new dents or scratches. No overspray. My truck was detailed. The few bucks and loose tools in my cab were still there. *Don't Waste your Time!! I am Thoroughly Disappointed with the service that I received, or Lack There Of! If you have a very simple bumper scratch or dent, by all means use Autobahn Collision Center.. But if you require a more complex repair or your vehicle is a 2010 or later model; Autobahn Collision ARE NOT Equipped to assist you. I brought my vehicle in for a collision repair through my insurance. I had to go there twice, the first time they weren't ready to assist me! Upon my 2nd appointment that was at 10:40am, I arrived at 10:30 and Service Rep Manny, stated," I was early and Had to WAIT!.. REALLY 10 Min.early. I thought a business would appreciate promptness!! Manny and I went through the inspection of the vehicle.Manny prepared the quote and began to order my rental car. Then suddenly Manny came to me and stated that Autobahn collision could not handle the repair due to the vehicle's age being a 2005!! Ridiculous, the details, Year-Make-Model were in the initial appointment from the Insurance Company! DON"T THEY READ!! IF Autobahn Collision weren't equipped to service a late model vehicle then WHY did they take the Appointment!!!!!!! A Total waste of My TIME!! I will NOT REFER Them to...

The place is highly over priced, and they think people are stupid and don't know about vehicle repairs, I went to check on an estimate and the guy said to me, "You're telling me I don't know how long it will take for this repair?". And that was exactly what I was telling him. I have worked at a body shop before. $5000 for a bumper and a lift gate repair. They're charging for removing the tail lights, when the tail lights have absolutely nothing to do with the damage. Since I'm paying for the damage, I requested the parts "they're replacing" right? Well guy was very rude and said he would not give them to me, because I was nobody, I'm paying for the repair. In their office there's some older guys, but out in the back the ones doing the repairs look like they just graduated high school. They charge for things that are not necessary or that they have already charged elsewhere in the invoice.

If your insurance is paying, by all means take your vehicle here. But if you're paying out of pocket, believe you me, I could have gotten that repair done for $1000 and in 3 days, it took them 2 weeks. Don't get scammed by these people,...
