Swan Day Spa — Local services in Los Angeles

The massage was only okay, but more so leaning towards just bad. If I could do 2.5 stars I would. I don’t want to rate them too low.

The masseuses were honestly very rough. No smooth transitions or anything, just kind of grabbing and roughly massaging. During some parts, my masseuse was just pressing down extremely hard into my back and ribs? For like 5-10 seconds at a time. Didn’t seem like a normal technique to me. He pressed so hard I couldn’t breathe!

My boyfriend had a female masseuse and he said something along the same lines, and that she even stepped and put all of her weight on his one calf.

We aren’t big people, so it just seemed a little bit much. Neither asked us what level of pressure we were looking for or anything...

Rustic and mean are the two words that would describe this place the most. The tables will hurt your neck and don’t even ask for an adjustment on the head piece. They will reply to you it doesn’t work anyway. Or that it is broken. This place could have improved itself years ago. But they just won’t. Everybody there serve the worst attitude. They screamed at me for being late cause or 13 mn because I was feeling unwell at home (heart problem, and ended up at cedar Sinai urgent care 3 hours later), even tho I was there the day before, even tho I was fine paying the same price for less time. Even tho I tip always above. They don’t care about their customers. That’s the price to pay when the service is few bucks cheaper, but one day it will hit the fan. They have been benefited from the Erewhon in front. But truly to pass on to avoid yourself a stressful time. I remember this place being nice and friendly in the past, like years ago. Discovering this place was a miracle.

I love getting massages and am sort of an expert of a customer. I prefer deep tissue and have a high standard for masseuses on their strength and knowledge of the body. Swan Day Spa's staff is extremely talented and I've been satisfied every time.

Not only are they great but the prices cannot be beat. Of course, with the low price, it is expected that you tip well if you're satisfied so please make sure to compensate accordingly.

They prefer cash but accept credit cards as well. However, there usually is a $2-3 fee attached with using plastic.
