absurdly complicated membership system for average fitness classes. i have been trying to cancel my membership because i was moving. i already got charged for a month of classes and requested a refund or a transfer to another california location. it took 2 weeks for studio manager to get back to me. first i received some emails saying that the message will be transferred to general manager a week after my reques. then it took another week to actually hear back from them. i called several times before that in times when classes were not in session and nobody picked up the phone. then received useless emails about how nothing can be done, so there goes a whole month of payment they got from me for free without attempting to transfer or refund. it shouldn't be this stressful and difficult dealing with excercise studios. i had a decent experience going to actual classes, but that was also hit or miss. there was a class where instructor played rap on her phone in the corner of the studio (speakers were broken or something) so it felt like my buddies in high school are flexing their new songs in PE class. she taught like she didn't care about the class or being there, i wanted to leave, but felt bad for spending money on that. tbh exercising apps these days are a lot cheaper and more useful than what this studio has given me, so i'm glad it's over. hope you can put my money that you took from me for the month towards working speakers and hire people that care about...
Read moreI have many thoughts about Club Pilates. I'll begin with what's positive. The instructors are great, very enthusiastic, and as a beginner you'll definitely feel great with these instructors. It's also nice that there's an app where you can schedule your classes/see what's available. I also think this location is in a good spot. Now for the negative. Honestly, the membership terms are very restrictive. You have to be enrolled at minimum for 3 months, otherwise there's a cancellation fee. You can "freeze" your membership but there's a $15 freeze fee. I recently cancelled my membership, but they still charged me citing that it takes up to 30 days for your cancellation to go through. There's also so many intro classes on a regular basis, to where it's to the point where it's hard to get into classes. This is problematic when there's only 10-12ish reformers and limited class times. The set-up of the studio also doesn't make much sense when you have a front desk person that's two feet away from an active class where the instructor wears a microphone and music is playing. Also the customer service? Needs a lot of improvement. Some of this bad service could be because they simply can't hear you. A chunk of it, however, is just not great phone or email etiquette. I would not recommend, unless you just have money to blow and don't work a...
Read moreI’ve been going to club Pilates for a few years now. The instructors are absolutely amazing. Each and every single one of them are extremely professional and kind. I wish we did a little more classical Pilates in our classes as I miss that from my old studio. Nonetheless you will definitely get a full body workout!! You can always modify your workout depending on how you feel that day. The instructors also take the time to ask us if we are dealing with any injuries.
I read the other reviews about the booking process. It’s really not that bad. Basically you get charged $15 bucks if you’re a no show and $10 if you cancel after the 12 hour window. I totally understand why they have that rule. Imagine you can book an unlimited amount of classes and have no consequences if you’re a no show? It wouldn’t be fair because there are a limited amount of reformers and you’d be taking someone's spot. If you plan ahead you shouldn’t have a problem getting into any of the classes. Plus having that cancellation fee sometimes keeps me honest and motivates me to go to class 🤣
I honestly recommend this studio to all my friends. It can be a little pricey but I believe your body is worth the...
