I re entry went here for my first time with some friends for a birthday. I had no expectations. The sign says to remove shoes upon me to ring, but the receptionist tells you to keep them on. Try not to be put off by her curt way of speaking, as that is cultural. There is a waiting area with seating, water, and mints. After you select the massage service that you desire, you wait in the sitting area. You are then taken into a room where everyone receives their treatment. It is all open, no privacy. Is not an option. My masseuse was David and he was great for my firm massage. They do not use massage oil or lotion, which is one of the reasons the massage is so affordable. Instead, they place a towel on you and massage over the towel. Probably for hygiene. The massage was great and I could tell that he knew anatomy to find the spots safe and unsafe to massage. I will remember to tell them I do not was any adjustments or cracking. For the reflexology they use oil. It was great. Communication is a challenge because they do not speak English. I don’t know why people complain about tipping. This is a service and it is so cheap already. For $60 I got an hour long body massage and reflexology. That’s half of its usual cost elsewhere. He was great and I tipped him $20 on a $60 massage. They make their money from tips. People need to stop being so stingy. I would...
Read moreHave had many massages before including Chinese and Thai and foot massages. Decided to try this spot w my bf. It is nice and clean but won’t ever go back. Lady/owner in front told me I have to tip minimum 18%. I chose to tip $5.00 bc my massage was not good. Should have been zero. TIPPING IS OPTIONAL and based on effort and quality of service provided. She left a couple times and would stop massaging mid massage and just have her hand on me without pressure. She barely touched my feet which are clean and pedicured and focused on my ankles and top of feet. When flipping me over she had no regard that I had an ankle length dress on. When she lifted the towel she pulled my dress all the way up. Luckily I have shorts underneath otherwise my underwear and butt would have been exposed. Also, it was not full 60 mins because my bf next to me was laid down and his masseuse began while I was still waiting but we finished same time. Woulda gone back to try once more and hope to get a better experience but after demanding I tip neither of us will be returning. Very rude. Very disappointing....
Read moreA last minute visit to Happy Feet on a Sunday morning after heavy lifting the day before was an inspired idea. As it is a clothes on experience in a communal room, it’s different from a spa like massage. It’s also much cheaper. Because of that my expectations are lower than for a place like Burke Williams or even Squeeze. That said, my massage was very good. The room is dark with a fountain in the center and mellow music playing. My masseuse responded perfectly to requests to change the pressure when I needed it, had great technique throughout and I left there feeling much looser and relaxed. There were only a couple of things that could have been better such as occasionally being in too much of a hurry and forgetting to repeat one of the techniques on the other side of my scalp. For a $36 hour-long massage, though, it was awesome. When a massage is that cheap I always tip much more than usual, with cash, directly to the masseuse so they’re paid better. It was much appreciated and a great way to...
