I initially did not want to write this review because Ella J did refund me for this service but that does not take away the damage that has already been done and the horrible bleach job done on my hair that will now be even more expensive to fix and on top of that the time I wasted coming to her. I am just appalled and beyond confused at how a stylist can let someone walk out like this. And it’s such a shame because I took care of my hair and did not have any work on it for the past 3 years so that I can get the balayage I’ve always wanted and intentionally did my research and believed I was going to a reputable hair stylist to now have gotten a lazy hair job and left with this mess that does not even compare to the inspo pic that I showed her. The balayage was not done throughout my entire hair like her service claims to be but done as chunky choppy strands. I’ve gotten quotes from two other stylists here at butterfly loft and even they are taken aback by the atrocity done on my hair. When I arrived for my appointment this past Friday, Ella did not even bother to give me a proper consult of my hair nor stated what she was going to do or what she couldn’t do, all she did was look at my inspo pic again and got to work. I have been in and out of salons and have gotten nothing less than $450 to fix this. And the worse part is that she has not taken any accountability nor has apologized for leaving my hair the way that she did after I expressed to her how horrified, overwhelmed and disappointed I was. I cannot say enough good things about Ella! I came in after another stylist completely botched my hair color — uneven, dull, and nothing like what I had asked for. I was honestly embarrassed to even look in the mirror.

Ella not only listened to me but also explained what could realistically be done to fix the mess without further damaging my hair. The transformation was incredible — she turned a disaster into a gorgeous, vibrant color that I actually LOVE. The depth, shine, and dimension are exactly what I wanted in the first place.

The “before and after” speaks for itself (see photos). I walked in feeling defeated and walked out feeling confident, polished, and 100% myself again.

I came in for color correction with Jessica W. (@hairhunter) I had orange brassy nasty hair that my hair stylist of 8years had called a #ombre but it was nothing like a ombre or what I wanted or asked for. I specifically said "NO ORANGE PLEASE" and orange is what I got.

When I met Jessica W. from butterfly Loft she knew exactly what he had done wrong and she got straight to work she quoted me pretty low for the extensive work she had to do. She gave me a "hair melt" my hair is light ash brown to ash blonde the color looks amazing and she did all this without frying my hair. I received a complimentary deep conditioning and #Olaplex treatment which made my hair feel strong and luscious.
