I’ve been a regular customer of this supermarket for quite some time, and I can honestly say it has become my go-to place for groceries. The store is always clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Shelves are neatly stocked, and I rarely struggle to find what I’m looking for.
What I really appreciate is the variety of products they offer. Of course, you can get all the essentials—fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and dairy—but what makes this supermarket stand out for me is the amazing selection of international items, especially Russian products. As someone who enjoys traditional Russian food, it makes me genuinely happy to see things like kvass and even my favorite sweets right here on the shelves. It saves me from having to search specialty shops across the city, and it feels comforting to find a little taste of home so close by.
The quality of the products has always been reliable. The produce is fresh, the dairy section is well-maintained, and frozen goods are always properly stored.
The staff deserves a separate mention—they are polite, approachable, and always ready to help. I also appreciate how quickly the cashiers work, so I never end up standing in line for too long, even during busy hours.
Overall, shopping here is a smooth and enjoyable experience. I come several times a week, and every visit confirms why I keep choosing this supermarket over others. For me, it’s not just about convenience, but also about the comfort of finding products that remind me of home. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great grocery store with a wide variety of...
Read moreI have been very disappointed another time in this ethnic market. Over several years, I was occasionally shopping there. Except for few times getting food poisoned, today I got experienced bullying in the store, and my best guess it was an owner herself. I came to the store around 7:25 pm, considering the store is close at 8 pm, and asked to slice three types of deli meats. The slim looking middle-aged woman named Lena responded that they were about to close the store and not going to slice for me even though the store should be open for another half hour. When I politely reminded her that I am already in the store, she expressed unpleasantness and started slicing deli meats for me. It was not the end of the story, then 2-3 sales persons showed up and began whispering with each other occasionally glancing at me. Some phrases were pretty audible. For example, “ we should stay here until 10 pm” and etc. This is not good, not ethical, and not appropriate for the business that orients on...
Read moreWriting this after inhaling some Rasputin Plov for lunch - which I stored in the freezer for lazy lunches like today...yum!
This deli is a favorite stop for my family when we gather in SoCal for family gatherings. We most recently stocked up on "snacks" for Thanksgiving week...
On Thanksgiving day there were NO LINES at 9:30AM and all items were well stocked.
Some of our favorite things....
Plov (Baked veal + rice) - Hands down our #1 love. A large container is about $20 and it's worth every penny. The rice is perfectly flavored. We just learned to freeze it for lazy microwave lunches like today.
Babaganoush (Eggplant spread) - Takes as good as the one I routinely purchased in my local Deli in NYC...addicting little snack with crackers.
Beef Stroganoff - SO good with rice. Super flavorful...and love the bits of mushrooms soaked in the sauce.
Smoked Salmon Trout - Yes, that's really what it's called. Get it sliced. Good on toast!
Now I want to go back to get more...
