Happy Tails — Attraction in Los Angeles

My dog has nailcutophobia. That's not a real thing, that I know of, but it's true just the same. He doesn't let me, his dog father, touch his paws, so I can only assume they have some kind of calming magic spell they cast on my pup to get him to settle and allow the pampering to occur. We've taken him to many places with sub par results. I'm happy to state, this is the only place that gets it done right, and at a great price. I highly recommend Happy Tails, even if it means it's that much harder to get an appointment.

The staff has always been kind and helpful in person. It's tough to get them on the phone. They've always done a lot of volume, and with the number of dogs coming in and out of the place, there's also a high level of volume in the shop! Making phone calls particularly ruff. Parking stinks too, you can try to park around the corner, but I've had to walk many a block to get to the shop. It's probably for the best since it lets my little bud get the pees out before he's harbored in the cages.

They do a great, fast job, are very communicative, and will ask enough questions to ensure you're happy. However, I would say that the scent they use on the dogs is STRONG. Make sure when you're getting a full cleaning, that you know ahead of time that your best friend is going to smell of Parisian court, until they can roll in the mud again. We usually ask for a real light touch on the scents, so that we're not surrounded by the smell of clean pooch.

They did a great job here, as our 60lb. German shepherd mix officially smells better than me now, but WOW this spot is expensive $$$. Without the furminator it was $55 for a wash, but they called me mid-grooming and let me know I had to opt for the extra $15 furminator. This would have been okay, but I’d already driven to the bank and gotten cash as they only take cash, so I had to drive back and get more. I officially spent $80 with tip and that is more than I spend on my own haircut!? This neighborhood is getting too pricey and unless we win the lottery, we can’t afford...

I recently brought my dog in for a grooming appointment and wanted to express my concerns regarding the experience. My dog was at the salon for over five hours, which seemed excessive for the service requested. Despite this extended time, the result did not resemble the reference photo I provided.
