I can't tell you about the hardware aspect of the store besides there being different wood material and they offer to cut it for you, too. And dowels that will be great for plant support. I can speak a little more about the garden center as that was the focus of my 1st visit. General notes: there is a paid parking lot in the back of the store. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I asked if I could bring in my dog and they said yes and even offered her a little treat. They were having a 20% off sale on plants for a weekend and I stopped by for the first time. Their indoor selection of plants is small but good with your typical common indoor plants and not overly priced in ny opinion. At the time I went, there were your typical golden pothos, Dieffenbachias, and some rubber plants to name a few. I even spotted a gorgeous single queen pothos that I wish I would have snatched up now thinking of it. Next to the indoor plants is a shelf with some pots and what I liked most is very good prices on their terracotta pots of various sizes. Their outdoor garden selection wasn't huge but much bigger than their indoor selection. They have various succulents, Alocasias, Colocasias, ferns, cacti, flowers, and so on. They have a little bit of everything (1 or 2 pots of the same plants). The woman (I didn't get her name unfortunately but was very nice and gave me plant care advice) who was managing the garden section said the selections change from time to time. They also have large bags of soil - in-ground and all purpose soil is what I remember seeing. Overall, great store and friendly staff. Smaller than other other larger known hardware store but great place to check here first for what you need and support your local shop for your hardware and garden needs.

Baller Hardware has been my go to hardware store and plant shop since they opened in HLP a few years ago. Staff is always super friendly and helpful + prices are great. Parking is available in the back lot. I really want to emphasize that the indoor and outdoor plant shop here is truly outstanding. The owners consistently have the best selection of plants for amazing prices (they even offer pretty frequent plant sales with significant discounts). My wife and I have filled our yard and house with Baller plants and they all are super happy, healthy, and beautiful. Special shout out to Keith who works in the plant department and is always very friendly, happy, knowledgeable, and helpful. He’s there almost every time we visit and he’s given us great advice on keeping our plants healthy and he even pots our plants very nicely for us when we purchase a plant + pot together (pictured). Thank you, Keith! And Ballers!

I am a contractor and I try to go here as much as I can because its a neighborhood hardware store and they have almost everything you can think of but specially the people who work there are really nice and very helpful. This is one of the those oldie but goodie mom and pop style hardware stores which we should all support. We like our Amazon, but we would also like stores like this to stay open. So, I definitely recommend this place for so many reasons if you ever are looking to go to a hardware store, try to make this your first...
