Hector The Barber — Attraction in Los Angeles

I was in the neighborhood last week and I happen to come across Hector's Barber Shop via Yelp. It was a Thursday evening and I noticed a few customers. Hector mentioned he makes appointments so I told him to put me down for the next morning. I arrived the next morning and easily found parking on the side street. I was a bit early for my appointment but Hector's magazine rack kept me from being bored. I proceeded to the barber chair and Hector already knew what I was thinking and what I was looking for. Hector told me he was going to cut it his way and I told him to do what he can to start fixing my hair (The previous barber, not my regular one, cut my fade way too high). Hector was honest and told me it may look funny for a few days but I would have to start all over and let my hair grow out a bit. I found Hector a few weeks ago while I searched for a new barber. I was looking for someone who was skilled with scissors as well as clippers since my previous barber admitted to not being good with scissors. Since I was looking for a new hair style, I did not want to be limited to variations of fades that only differed in length. Hector is very friendly, personable, and more importantly, talented. I gave him an idea as to what I was trying to accomplish with my hair. He responded with some suggestions, verified that we understood each other and went to work.
