I went there for a week two years ago (I was given a one week free trial) so my review might be outdated.
I will start with the good things:The yoga classes and instructors were good. I felt like I was able to get a good workout there despite being dehydrated quickly since the rooms were basically like hot saunas. The place was clean and the cold towels feel good. After the workout I felt very relaxed.
However, the meditation class I went to was very weird and felt like a cult ritual more than normal mindfulness meditations. The instructor told us to take short rapid shallow breaths for an extended period of the time, which naturally results in hyperventilation. It creates tingly sensations in your limbs since you are basically not getting enough oxygen. When people described this âelectricityâ-like sensation, instead of acknowledging that itâs result of the body not getting enough oxygen, the instructor and half of the group started discussing how itâs some sort of spiritual revelation, and someone got very excited and said that âthey saw the lightâ. The experience from that one class felt very awkward and shady that I decided not to go back, especially since hot yoga just makes you very dehydrated even with lots of water intake so it feels...

Itâs been a week since I returned to Hot8Yoga, after 1 year and 6 months, encouraged by many around me. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised and even touched by the incredibly friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the front desk. It was such a big change! Since my first experience wasnât very friendly, I went in a little nervous, so I was really amazed at how much things have improved. Most of all, Iâm extremely impressed by how they continue to evolve and improveâthree thumbs up!
Even during my not-so-pleasant first visit, I thought the instructors were excellent, and as expected, the quality of their classes remains top-notch.
This yoga studio mainly offers Bikram yoga as a traditional class, and it also features many modified classes. However, most of the classes are held at high temperatures, which I personally really enjoy. Itâs best to choose a class that fits your individual needs. The studio temperature is incredibly hot! Which fantastic : )
Overall satisfaction with my return visit: A+! I plan to continue going regularly to get healthier and achieve a beautiful shape. Mimiâs class on Sunday is the B!E!S!T! Not so much welcoming mood front desk .. and if you prefer traditional yogayoga ⌠no...
Read moreGot hit in the face with a five pound weight here, got a black eye, cuts around my eye and the manager could have cared less. The not so bright front desk person put a eucalyptus towel on my bleeding cuts instead and they had no first aid kit to work with.
No workout facility is safe but this one is even more unsafe with its people rushing in last minute into classes grabbing weights and apparently dropping them on you when you're waiting for class to start.
The manager dodged me the entire time and I had to come back to ask for a documented report on the incident.
They offered me a free month and I had to counter with a refund.
This place is embarrassing and does not care about your wellbeing. They didn't even have bandaids or neosporin on hand.
I wouldn't be writing this review if they would stop pestering me with emails to come back as a member, even though I unsubscribed. But it is a risky environment with everyone being sweaty and semi wet including the dumbbells and no safety protocols in place. I would add pics but I'm still...
