So the place is nice and clean. Which I like. My friends and I ordered from the first meat selection for $18.99 each. Meat selection is extremely small. We basically ate the same meats over and over. One thing that I disliked was the server lady. Most KBBQ places bring the meat to the table and you cook it yourself. The server lady did it for us. She brought the meats and would place the meats on the grill and she would come by often go flip the meat first us. She would also come over to cut the meat. Personally my space was being invaded. The lady was all over our table reaching over flipping the meats, cutting it. It literally takes away from the KBBQ experience where you do everything yourself. Next thing you know I see the lady coming back to the table and I quickly grabbed the tongs so that she doesn't flip the meats for us. She quickly walked away after she saw I grabbed the tongs. Within seconds of walking away she comes back with her own pair of tongs and starts flipping the meat for us! I was soooo mad. Again my space was being invaded. She was all over the table reaching over and it takes away from the overall experience. I was so mad and bothered by it I told her "it's okay we can flip it, thank you" she responded with "okay" and flipped the meat a few times and then left. After that she did not come as much. But she would still have the urge to come by to flip and cut the meats. Also they have a huge billboard on Wilshire and Serrano area that says "free parking". That is false!! You still have to pay for parking. Which was only $1 for 2 hours but still. They should not be advertising free parking when you still...
Read moreI understand this is a new place, so there is alot of improvement needed. The service itself is great, even 5 stars. But the reason im doing 3 for now, is because there wasnt variety on their AYCE menu. All i couldbhave was brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and chicken, which usually is the cheapest and basics from any other places. So i am hoping they add way more for the price. Which isnt too high, but aint cheap either. As far as taste, the meat quality was great, no complaints on that. A bit disappointed that theyre not serving alcohol for a certain period (pending licensing issues) but still, needs to have more variety on their menu, and hopefully they keep up the great service, even when the owner/manager isnt there. Super clean as well (due it being a new place). Wish...
Read moreWhile this place got off to a slow start, it has really been a pleasant surprise. Originally scheduled to open late 2017, it opened earlier this year. Inside you walk into a fine looking, upscale establishment with white leather seats and muted music in the background. TVs line along a wal showing ESPN or Dodgers but are at a high enough angle that it keeps your attention on the food and your fellow meat eaters. And that is where Breakers shines: I would say they have the best brisket and overall constantly great meat quality among the AYCE Korean bbq places in ktown. Come give it a try! They've definitely found their footing and I'd love to see them continue to serve it up for...
