This place is horrible. I'm definitely not a gym snob, I just needed a place where I could walk on the treadmill for a bit, since I am in my second trimester of pregnancy. This place is horrible because of the people who go there. It seems to be frequented by people with narcissistic personality disorder and crappy plastic surgery. Almost every time I go to use the treadmill, my workout is ruined by some idiot who feels the need to have a public conversation on their cell phone at full volume, just in case the rest of the gym doesn't pay enough attention to them. For instance, today I was about five minutes into my workout when some trashy fat lady got on the treadmill next to me and began face timing with her equally idiotic boyfriend in Russian. Face timing.... at the gym.... on the treadmill. I had my headphones on, but she was so loud that I couldn't hear anything over her conversation. I finally asked her politely if she could keep it down a bit, since she was two feet away from me and was creating a racket. She told me this was her personal space and I could move if I didn't like it. Remember, I'm five months pregnant and quietly going about my own business before fat ass decides to grace me with her presence. I hope she gets herpes of the eye off the equipment. 30 seconds later, another heathen gets on the treadmill on the other side of me and started her own "Miss Thang" conversation at full volume. "Giiiiiiiirl, did you see Beyonce last night!!" blah, blah, blah blah.... so now Fat Russian turns up her volume even louder to compensate. Now I have two idiots blathering away on either side of me. I just had to give up. This has happened to me in some variation almost every time I come to this place. I complained to the staff, and although they acknowledged their client's rude behavior, they said they were sorry but they had no rules against loud cell phone use. They need to change their policy if their clientele have such little class. They gave me the number to their corporate office so I could lodge a formal complaint, but when I called I got a recording which then just repeatedly hung up on me. Next time this happens to me, I'm going to download the hymnals station on Pandora and sing along to it at the top of my lungs. Let's see if they have a policy...

LA Fitness, Los Angeles, California

I was a member of Bally's for many, many years, however, one day they shut down and LA Fitness took them over and has done such a Fantastic Job Ever Since!

I am a Proud Member of LA Fitness where You Can Develop Your Body Into Being The Best That You Can Be!

Their gyms have many things to do such as aerobic classes, weight training, zumba classes, yoga classes, swimming pools, boot camp classes, body conditioning classes, etc.

You can Never get bored at LA Fitness!

I just started going back because I need to Lose Weight and I have been going every day taking their Zumba and Yoga Classes and I am more than sure that My Body Will Be Changing Very Soon For The Better!

I really enjoy coming to LA Fitness and they definitely have programs to suit All Of Your Body's Needs!

In the following pictures, I was taking a Zumba Class with Gloria Jimenez who is one of their Top Instructors.

I want to personally Thank Gloria Jimenez for allowing ME to take pictures during her most recent Zumba class back on Monday, November 6, 2017!

Sincerely yours,

Howard Paul Shore Visitor and Member Executive, Volunteer Writer For Google And Tripadvisor Websites

Update:

This is what I call My Home Gym!

I go to the miracle mile LA Fitness quite often because it is so convenient to my home.

I really like what they have to offer there.

Yes, they have a Pool, Free Weights, Bikes, but their Classes that I take are amazing which include Body Conditioning, Yoga and Zumba.

I do these quite often because I am trying to lose weight.

I know that losing weight takes time, but with LA Fitness and All Of The Motivation that I Get From Their Classes and Members and Instructors, this Can Be Made Possible.

I want to Thank LA Fitness for being there for ME when I needed You Most such as back on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

Sincerely yours,

Howard Paul Shore Visitor Loyal, Lifetime LA Fitness Member Executive, Volunteer Writer For Google And Tripadvisor...

What is wrong with this place? I had a membership in 2022 that I cancelled in May. That experience in of its self was quite tedious. The man who was helping me was pretty hostile and unwilling to admit I was given wrong information from a rep on the phone earlier. He only became kind because he thought I was recording our conversation. In the end, the man cancelled my plan out & issued a refund for a fee that shouldnโ€™t have been processed back in May 2022. December 2022 rolls around and I decide to reinstate my membership. I pay the first larger fee, and have been charged monthly since. My last charge is from March 2023. I got to the gym last week, no issues. I go to the gym tonight, and a gentleman that was at the front desk asked me to scan my card again. I do and he says my membership has been cancelled. I let him know that thatโ€™s impossible because I havenโ€™t called to cancel and I was there last week with no issues. For some reason, heโ€™s unable to tell me who or why my accounts cancelled. He asks me to call in, but โ€œallowsโ€ me to workout. Once Iโ€™m done, I log into my bank account to confirm the monthly charges have been processed with my bank (they have been). When I log into my account, it confirms the cancellation. When I clicked reactivate account, it says I owe them for no paying from 07/2022 - 2023. On top of this, I would have to pay the larger fee for the first month. Are they okay?? I NEVER cancelled my membership. Try to avoid going to this gym...

Would give this place 0/5 stars if possible. First and most importantly my car was broken into parking on the street next to the gym. Didn't think LA Fitness would put a gym in an area filled with violent crime, could have ended up being mugged going to this gym. Second I came in on 10.26 with a guest pass and it was activated. I gave them my license as thats how it works with guest pass. I forgot to pick it up at the end of the night. So next day with my broken window I decided to walk over and do my cardio by walking to the gym. I get there pick up my license but told my guest pass was deactivated. No explanation other than they wanted me to pay to use the gym. I said okay thats fine I will just leave but asked to use the bathroom first since I was walking back home. They didn't even allow me to do that either. So after having my car broke into next to the gym, and deactivating my guest pass, on top of that won't even let me pee before I walk another 2.5 miles back home. This gym has no humanity whats so ever. You could get murdered right outside the front door as long as they have a credit card on file they wouldn't bat an eye. As crowded as LA Fitness is on the other side of Whilshire in beverly hills. At least there they treat members with respect, and theres no violent crimes in that area. Rather deal with a crowded gym that I won't be mugged or murdered outside, than a gym that could careless about its customers.

I really liked this gym when I first started here and now I just seen it become a mess. There are cycling bikes on the 2nd floor but when there's a class in session you can't use them and there aren't any anywhere else. Also there's 14 treadmills (total) and 4 of them are not working so that leaves 10 and it gets packed in here especially after 5 so usually I don't even get to use one. The elevator to the restrooms is broken (still, it's been since I started coming here 6mths ago) so overall it's not that great. The crowd is nice lol but they can really improve and maybe add cycling bikes on that random bridge that leads to the bathroom, it's useless space. Update: the women's sauna is now also out of order Update update: I have now cancelled my membership lol
