It was much cleaner than I expected. Actuallymy mom who came along to check them thought so,too!( we're in a transition to find our new hair salon ) indeed it was VERY CLEAN, CLEANER THAN many & this place looked good for a quick service & very very affordable prices & the location attracted me ! I needed to get colour done so badly & Pia did an EXCELLENT job !! I spoke w/ the owner Dalia on the phone a few times beforehand. I had a hard time to understand/ communicate w/ her as she seemed to have some limits in English vocabularies, etc . Also she was sort of short ,some people might take it rude & I get it that many said so in their reviews I've read . I wasn't offended, but I can see how the communication would be much easier if she'd try harder & change how she speaks to customers, but her loyal regulars didn't mind the way she talked to 'em !! Lol. I was very shocked at first ,but reading the reviews in advance helped & I am usually very diplomatic, so it was o.k. w/ me ! Lol. She criticized my hair for being too thin ,texturized too much ,etc .loudly infront of others . But ,I love people are honest as I'm very honest & sometimes brutally honest myself ,so I didn't mind it much ,but I would had said it / talked to my customers differently if I was her !! Lol.I know she didn't meant to hurt my feelings !She's from Israel, but she said she was a European!?? Maybe that's totally how they speak there ?She's been in U.S.for decades like me ,though ! I am a bit worried to get my hair done by her in the future after talking to her & being told I would need lots of trimmings as she touched my hair 😅although I don't have any split ends at all !! Zero ,infact.But,I also noticed she was very kind to my mom !!

Pia did as good as any hair colorists I have met in my past ( except for a couple of super talented ones ) ,indeed a lot better ( my mom thinks so ,too !! ) than whom I paid $ 90 to $200 !! Lol.I paid $ 40 for my own( Naturtint ) ,I brought boxed ones w/ me is a FANTASTIC PRICE !! They charge $60 for colouring they use there !I did my blow dry myself instead & it seemed that other customers did so,too !Pia covered all my greys so beautifully & looked REAL GOOD from every angle !! Looked evenly distributed. She applied the colour on my bottom hair at very last only for 5 minutes because there's no need to process colour there as long as the roots & top sides require ,she was right !! She's very knowledgeable & honest about it which I appreciated very much !! Pia was very professional !!The shower water to rinse my hair splattered everywhere on my face which was not nice ,she apologized. The shampoo chair was comfortable, I often get issues as I'm only 5.3 tall. I'd like to go back there to get my hair cut by Pia !! My mom will go there to get her hair done also ,she told me ! There are pros/ cons about every business ,anything & I am aware of a cheap hair salon's goods/ bads ,too ! But,I also know that high-end salons doesn't mean they have really talented hairdressers ,or colourists,either !! It's a lot to do with the rents they're paying that charges us a lot to make profits .I'd rather discover new talents/ places for my hair cuts / colours & pay less !!Lol Only concern is their popcorn ceiling. But,other than that I highly recommend this salon to people, especially who are on budgets like students ,moms , elderly people because they don't have to pay arm & leg there for the sake of beauty !! They seemed to do good jobs !!Also very good for busy people !I am VERY SATISFIED w/ my colour !!! I got it done before going on my trip ,which was the last week of July & it's still looking very good now amazingly & it's already been a mouth !! I've been doing this same colour for about two years + now & it was never the case before !! The roots usually started showing a lot more faster w/ other previous hair stylist & it was almost the case before,my roots are showing tiny bit now ,but,a way less & unnoticeable !! I'm very surprised/ satisfied...

I went for the first time to ask if they would colour my roots. Such a miserable place, no one smiles and you sense a bad atmosphere right away. All staff turned around and looked then continued what they were doing :))) no hi, no welcome nothing. I had to go to the colourist's station in order to talk (good service is the money maker's stopping for a second and walking over to the customer) it seemed too much effort for her :) she just looked over waiting for me to go to her so then the conversation is heard by everyone. I explained how I have my hair done as I've had it done in several different salons all over CA and overseas for years. She said "I don't do it that way" I told her it was fine as long as she could match my shade to which she replied "No" :))) she said the way I do it your roots will be darker than the rest of your hair. The worst attitude and reply I've ever heard from a hair salon. Of course I'm not giving money to someone who can't do what any other colourists can. I went in for info as this place was near my new apt. It's the most unprofessional miserable hair salon...

This is an awesome place! I think a lot of the bad reviews about customer service are a cultural thing. It seems like most of these ladies aren't from the US so your going to get a more European service style. If your fine not being fawned and fussed over with saccharine sweetness than you'll be fine. Not to say these ladies are unfriendly I immediately felt welcome and at ease and there was a nice natural flow to our conversation. I also felt like my stylist really listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. These ladies really know their stuff and their speed and ease with the scissors is amazing. So happy to have found this place and will deffinatly be returning...
