Where to begin! Smh guess with the only good service was answering the phone and being available for a walk in. Now that that’s out of the way let’s get into the details of what you should expect choosing this establishment!
Yesterday my partner and I was looking for a good near by foot massage to wrap up our day we had just finished eating sushi and just wanted something near by so we googled the nearest foot massage went with the top rated as any of us do check out the reviews all sounds good , called set up an appointment for 30 mins out. Parking at this time is terrible due to construction so best of luck finding parking unless you want the hassle of breaking through traffic to enter their parking structure wouldn’t recommend with the drivers in that area.
We eventually find parking a ways down walked a few blocks at exactly 5:30pm. ( no you don’t need an appointment for this establishment walk ins are definitely welcomed)
We arrive she recognizes our voice and into was pleasant (for a split moment) soon as we get in she ask so what do you both want we say 60 min foot massage prices are on the wall 50 dollars each foot ( awesome let’s do it) she ask if we want stones I agree to it my Partner says NO she says yes if lady gets it you get it we chuckle slightly ready for our massage. She ask how we will be Paying my boyfriend said debit card. She insisted on Cash, Zelle’s or Venmo! Because “Everyone has Zelle’s , cash app or Venmo “my partner said well I’m not every one Ms. She got upset and said INEED AN ID gladly showed her the ID. She say I charge you extra fee for card. We asked why are you charging us before the service is given ? She said that’s what everyone does something about in the pandemic people did t pay were like ok this is a first.
At this point my partner has given his debt card and ID ready to pay for the service she said she will charge 10.00 dollars for each person to use 1 card although my Partner was paying for the both of us. she continues to try to gibber why she is charging two fees on top of the service again “ because this is what everyone is doing “ again. No making zero sense at all in the midst of it she says for tip to be added for both of us on top of the service , fee for using his Debt card she wanted an additional 20 dollars for a tip for a service we have yet to receive. Mind you we have literally just walked in the establishment! Do you know how crazy that moment was? Something that should have been no more than 105.00 was darn near 140! Before ever getting any type of service aside from are you the ones that just called. She said I will give you a discount if you tip first . Excuse me? We have no problem what so ever paying what’s do but we will not be up charged ! We asked for her managers card or number for these policies she said no I told my Partner I don’t feel comfortable there anymore and don’t wish to have business with someone like this. Possibly was racially profiled to the point she may have thought we were not going to pay but of all the experiences I’ve had in my many visits at massage parlors this is by far the only establishment that has ever made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcomed, and almost taken advantage of I am not making this post to be spiteful but I am an individual that looks at reviews before entering an establishment to see how customer service is I spend good money I treat everyone respectfully I tip we I leave countless of positive reviews on establishments I am fortunate to visit. So to sum it up expect to pay ahead of your massage , Expect an up-charge for using a debt card please listen to her when she’s speaking swiftly you may miss what she is saying. We did end up leaving we refuse to support a business who treats us that way we gladly went about 5 mins away to Joy massage. Very happy lady who was attentive from the phone offered us cold water instantly placed us in a massage room. Gave us more than we asked for or even paid for. All we asked for was a foot massage, ended up with foot , back head face the price of 100 plus Tip...
Read moreWell, I tend to remain optimistic when trying a new place. Foot spas are a roll of the dice and this one in particular was not a great experience for me. I had read the reviews and asked for Steve but he was not working on that day so, I still persevered and booked a 60-minute full body massage with a male masseuse. I know people say they've had treatments all around the world but I truly have. Paying $65 for an hour isn't highway robbery but it also isn't nothing. This massage had to be one of the worst experiences I have had to date. The guy was rough with wiping me down after he oiled me up, and rolling your hands over and over and over does not make a massage. I was too hopeful that something would shift. I wish I would have gotten his name as I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.
If you decide to go here, ask more questions on the person you are getting or try a woman...
Read moreI have been coming to Wilshire Foot Spa for years. I have only positive things to say. Helen, at the desk, has always been lovely and accommodating. I prefer paying up front so I can just walk out in bliss afterwards without having to deal with anything else. Paying by Venmo is always a snap. It takes under two minutes to complete the whole transaction. Most vendors, and even restaurants, I frequent save on payment fees by avoiding credit/debit cards. I appreciate the option to tip before or after depending on whether or not I have enough cash in my pocket. As to the masseuses, they are all exceptional. I know at least five by name and have never once been disappointed. I walk in stressed, with pain, I walk out relaxed, relieved, and pain free. If you want to support an establishment that puts its money into high-quality services please check out Wilshire Foot Spa. They’re...
