The jet is on the outside walk from the science center. It's a quick walk and is well worth it to stand right under the jet. It's best to see it after the center closes from the top of the parking lot or it's a short walk to it from the sculpture. One of the remaining A-12 and SR-71 family of planes left in the world. The A series of planes was meant to be used as a fighter initially, but as you can imagine, it was a bit too fast for that role. Another fact about these planes is when they were cold, the leaked fuel. This was because the joints were designed to seal when the jet hit Mach speeds and heated up.
