When I found this place, I was really drawn in by the cup with the dumplings on top of it so I hurried to eat there. Right now they have a discount if you post them on social media or reviews and they also gave us a coupon when we left! 👍 Coming in, the space is really small but it looks really nice with snappy decorations and a big window to see into the kitchen. They have a self order kiosk and 2 registers. The order pickup space is pretty small and I’m worried that the space is too small for a rush during the school season. They also have a pickup option through Fantuan. We ordered the scallion pancake and the cup of mini buns on the drink. Prices are a little high but understandable for the location. Portion and presentation for the scallion pancake was a bit lacking but it was cooked amazingly, lots of layers and a flaky, fried exterior. They have a little sauce bar but did not have hoisin sauce, which I would have loved to go with it. The mini buns were also good, great for a snack. The cup is tall and I’m worried that it will fall over. I think the drink options are lackluster and a lemon ice tea would fit this place perfectly. Soda with dumplings feels off. The staff is very nice and I hope they get good business in these coming months! For parking, there’s metered street parking around the block and also a garage with...
Read moreAt Little Pan, their gourmet juicy buns live up to the highest standards with 24k gold flakes AND black truffle. However, what sets them apart from other dumpling shops in LA is their cooking process. ✨1. Buns are better pan-fried than steamed, and 2. Combine the soupy style from XLB (Xiaolongbao- soup dumplings) with the panned crispy bottoms, giving you an explosion of flavor and textures in your mouth✨

Tip: mix chili oil with vinegar, try milk tea with dumplings.
New kids on the USC block. This dumpling shop is a chain from Shanghai that just opened this location a few months ago. The dumplings are hand made in house and they have a great variety. I loved the sauce bar, as they had a good variety. The food came out very quickly and staff helped us choose a good variety of dishes. The restaurant is a bit small and they have a few seats both inside and outside. This would be the perfect spot for a casual lunch.
Food: I loved the dumpling cup with the jasmine milk tea. The combo is very aesthetically pleasing and convenient. The dumplings are dipped in chili oil and just delicious. The 24kt gold truffle dumplings were flavorful and fancy! The beef and scallion pancake was also tasty and we especially loved the fresh cilantro in the beef one. The rainbow dumplings were beautiful to look at. If coming for one thing I would recommend the dumpling cup or beef pancakes.
Overall, this place is tasty, handmade, and convenient for lunch. I would definitely come back if...
