This is an update to my original post. Unfortunately, the result I was worried about has turned out to be true. After contacting my credit card company, it was revealed that the manager’s statement during my third visit—that the double charge transaction had been voided—was not true. In fact, nothing was voided; they had only canceled the double charge.
As a result, I returned the two jerseys I originally purchased but did not receive my money back. Honestly, if LAFC Shop and leaderships see this review, they should reconsider female manager's roll.
At this point, the only option left is to take this to small claims court, so I am preparing for that. I am extremely upset, but the manager’s actions were far too rude for me to simply let this go and lose about $216. I intend to pursue this to the end. I will provide another update later.
LAFC shop has a wide selection of products, and their custom printing service is good, but my experiences with the manager have been extremely disappointing.
First, after ordering custom prints on three kids’ home game jerseys, I later realized at home that I was charged an extra $30 for each one. Second, out of several other items I bought, two did not fit properly, and I had to return them. (For context, my home is about a two-hour drive from this stadium.)
The following week, I drove another two hours back to the shop. A young staff member at the counter (looked to be in his early 20s) told me they had indeed overcharged me and said he could process a refund. However, after calling the manager, he came back and said the manager told him it wasn’t possible. He apologized but explained there was nothing more he could do, and the manager said I should come back the following Tuesday when she would be there. I couldn’t understand why a refund for an obvious overcharge was being denied—especially when even their own signs state refunds are possible. Still, since the young staff seemed powerless, I had no choice but to leave, despite being very upset after driving so far.
Today, I returned once again. This time the female manager immediately got defensive and even raised her voice, saying I had already received a refund—which was not true. After checking the receipt again, she then insisted that there was no mistake with the charges. I showed her the receipt and the jerseys, pointing out that I had been charged $30 extra each. Only then did she reluctantly agree to issue a refund, but she never once offered an apology.
On top of that, when I returned two shirts that didn’t fit, she actually charged me again instead of processing the return. OMG!! I only realized because I received a bank notification on my phone. When I asked why I was charged again, she said she knew and was voiding the transaction, staring at the system as if that explained everything. I expect the money will be returned in a few days, but again—no apology for the mistake, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, nothing.
After being overcharged due to their mistake, having to drive long distances multiple times, and being treated so poorly by the manager, I have decided never to shop here again. A simple “sorry” would have gone a long way, but apparently, that was too much to ask.
