I came to Harmony Aesthetics with my mom who knew Melanie one of the owners before she opened her own MedSpa and whom she had gone to for a few years now for any of her Beautifying treatments, lip filler, botox etc.

After I had my Baby I felt it was time I treated myself to some Botox and lip filler helping me to slowly start feeling like my old self again.

In the past before pregnancy I had gone to some doctors that have really botched my lips, and I had bad filler migration (2ml juvederm in one session with having ultra thin lips -esp the top lip). Even after 1.5years plus of no filler, there was still some filler migration above my top lip, but my lips itself had no true volume.

When I went to Melanie with my mom the first time she ensured me that we could dissolve the top portion only above the lip while in the same session filling my lip body and vermilion border with 1ml juvederm, wait 2months and come back for the 2nd ml. And that is exactly what I did. However, once again I found myself with lip migration after the 2nd ml even though I had waited 2 months.

I could say I was a rare case. Even though “lip migration” is talked about so much it is actually very rare to occur and usually only occurs over a long period of time after having filler over the years. That is why they say that over the course of time you have to just start over get it all dissolved and start fresh. It’s part of it. But like I said with me I was that special rare case.

After having shown Melanie how my lipfiller had migrated again, she was so genuine and offered to fix the problem by getting them dissolved, and then fill them up again (slowly this time and with a different kind of filler)

It took two painful sessions to dissolve over the course of a month, and she also suggested we‘d try Restylane on my lips this time instead of Juvederm.

On my last visit she filled my lips (the majority going into my upper lip) with .5ml of restylane. The results look great and I think we are finally getting somewhere.

Melanie is also very good at shaping my vermillion border, which I’ve never had a previous doctor/nurse master.

My bottom lip was injected a little bit as well. However I think this is where we need a little more work because I just noticed a few days ago that the center is very volumed and uneven but this can easily be fixed at my next appointment by filling in the hollow areas. We are not dealing with filler migration this time.

It really was the top lip that gave me a lot of problems and I was almost at the point of giving up on lip filler entirely. I thought it was just my lips couldn’t take the filler and they would never look good. But Melanie finally proved me wrong. She’s soo wonderful and patient with me. And her whole spa staff is so sweet and kind. I always have to bring my 9mo old daughter along when I come in, making my way to LA all the way from Anaheim, and the Staff is so sweet holding my Daughter for me while Melanie works on my lips.

I still have 3 sessions left .5ml x 3 over the course of the coming months, to have finally corrected the problem.

I think this was even another learning curve for Melanie (although already being a pro) but there is always that one rare case that even a professional injector has to deal with every once in a while, that puts them to the test. In which they pick up new skills on how to go about a certain issue when it comes to someone like me.

Melanie is soo professional and up for the challenge, and I sincerely thank her for all the time she has already put in for me to leave me feeling happy and beautiful in the end. I know it’s been a tough journey. But I am confident that we can achieve the results I’ve always wanted.

I will forever return to Melanie for any of my Beauty needs, and will refer her to all my friends and anyone I come across that is interested in getting lip filler, botox and other beauty treatments done.

I was a first time patient here and Melanie did my IPL facial. I was a little nervous and didn't know really what to expect, but Melanie was very thorough and assured me the procedure would be just fine. She was very sweet and put me at ease.

I'd tried many chemical peels to reduce my melasma and nothing really worked. The IPL is the only thing that has produced great results, and with significantly less down time. My skin is healing very well. It took about 5 days before the dark spots started to slough off but to say that I'm happy with the results is an understatement. I'm definitely looking forward to going back for another round in a month.

The rest of the team is very nice. The storefront is small and easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but the space is clean, bright, and comfortable. I highly recommend seeing Melanie for any procedure, but I'm sure the rest of the staff is...

Since my last visit, the issues I mentioned have been addressed, and the level of service I received during my subsequent visit exceeded my expectations.
