I have been a Parking Spot platinum member for more than 20 years, but I'm afraid that has come to an end. Earlier this year after returning from a trip to see family for the holidays, we discovered that our vehicle had been stolen from the Parking Spot - Sepulveda garage. Like many of you, I was confident that my vehicle was safe given the content on the Parking Website stating: "All of The Parking Spot's locations have security measures in place! All facilities are completely fenced in, well-lit, and have 24-hour staff on-site to ensure the safety and security of the customers and their vehicles." It turns out that no one monitors the entry/exit location on a 24 hour basis anymore and even though video cameras are present, no one questioned why the perpetrators manually lifted the exit gate to facilitate the theft of our truck. it wasn't until we returned 2 days after the incident that the supervisor on duty reviewed the tapes and confirmed our vehicle was stolen. I understand that there is no way to completely prevent a theft like this, but the reason I finally decided to write a review was the way The Parking Spot handled the situation. I received no communication regarding the results of their investigation as to how this could happen or what was done to prevent this from happening in the future, despite repeated calls to the facility as well as their corporate Customer Service. Even though I was initially assured that The Parking Spot was taking the matter very seriously and wanted my continued business, after nearly 5 months, there has been complete silence. I offer my experience as a warning to others considering parking here that your vehicle may not be as secure as you think and not to expect any kind of assistance in determining the root cause of what occurred or any sort of gesture to maintain your business, even for matters as...
Read moreArrived at LAX last Sunday after midnight, following flight delays and baggage issues, leaving us exhausted. We were at least looking forward to a quick and easy transition from the airport to the Sepulveda Parking Spot lot. Instead, bus after bus passed our terminal for over 40 minutes, each one full. Our terminal was the last one on the far side of the airport. Some patrons were so desperate to get to their cars they walked with their luggage in tow, across to the far side terminals directly on the car path, being no easy way to get from the high numbered terminals to the low, in the hopes of catching a bus at the start of the rounds. Finally, we begged a 99% full bus to squeeze us in. The bus was so full it scraped the bottom of the driveway heading into the lot. It is not rocket science to stagger buses so that they each service only a set group of terminals so that patrons at each terminal have access to the service they paid for! Nor is it rocket science to train staff to recognize when high numbered terminals are not getting appropriate service so they adjust their rounds accordingly! When there are buses servicing two different lots that are 5 minutes from each other and one lot has empty buses, train them to handle overflow for the busier lot! Telling is the fact that there is no phone number anywhere that you can call in these types of situations. Not to mention when we finally got to the lot, there was not a live human being in a management position that we could even talk to in order to send help for those still stranded. Terrible experience caused by poor management of something so easily remedied with proper...
Read moreMy husband and I use the Parking Spot garage for parking our car whenever we fly out of LAX. We use to park at LAX Parking Lot C, but found our car very dirty when we returned, the wait time for shuttles was too long, and the shuttles were not comfortable. The Parking Spot offers indoor (we opt for the indoor) or outdoor roof top parking, they are timely and their shuttles are well maintained and comfortable.
Since becoming members, we utilize the free reservations and coupons offered online. They have good deals with Valet and covered parking promotions. I enjoy the convenience and ease of the valet service. The option of having your car washed (additional cost) while you are traveling is is an added plus to their service.
After the valet takes your car, there is usually a 10 minute wait for the shuttle to the airport. The shuttles are clean, spacious, and the drivers are helpful with luggage. Water bottles are provided for free. The shuttle drive to the airport (terminal 4) is about 15 minutes.
To give yourself some peace of mind from the chaos that is LAX, I would give yourself around 30 minutes to get from the valet to the airport.
The shuttles are a bright yellow with black spots. They are easy to see when exiting the terminal's departure level. The shuttles that take you back to your car come frequently. Final Thoughts: This is a good service and one that is worth the little extra cost for indoor parking, valet service, free water, nice shuttles, and...
