Not gonna lie I cried on my way home. I wanted my split ends cut off and we agreed on a length and it was WAY shorter than what we agreed on. my beautiful long hair is now extremely short. Every time I look in the mirror it makes me so upset. this was NOT worth $100. He was dying another persons hair at the same time, and tag teaming with the student. To distract me and stall while he messed with the other clients hair, he had his assistant blow dry my hair. NO heat protectant, he blow dried my hair for 10 minutes. It was completely dry and he was just continuously drying and BURNING my hair to distract me from the main stylist working on another guy during MY appointment. Again, NOT $100 SERVICE! I had to ask him to stop drying my hair because he was damaging it and i NEVER blow dry. then the stylist had the nerve to ask me if I blow dry my hair! I donāt! EVER! I had to ask for heat protectant before he continued to curl my hair. & I had to cringe through watching the steam come from the hair curler as it burned my poor healthy hair. never died, and rarely dried. Words cannot speak to how awful this experience was. I didnāt want to make a big deal and refuse to pay or complain, I didnāt want to be rude.. itās an uncomfortable situation to be in. I mentioned it a couple times, especially how short it was, but the guy just kept giving me excuses for things. Reasons as to why he couldnāt cut my hair the way i asked or how it ended up so short. Iāve been to many hair salons Iāve NEVER had a hair stylist say no and be so apprehensive for the same thing i ask other stylists for. I feel like I had to settled for what he wanted because apparently what i was asking for couldnāt be done (even though iāve literally had it done before.) Once again, maybe youāre not a $100 level hair stylist! The assistant was really nice, he made the experience great at the beginning, and I had really high hopes, but it was just crushed. He seemed nice and I really wanted to bless him with a good tip ( i thought he was my stylist) but the experience was extraordinarily dissapointing and I really want a refund. I waited to post this, in hopes that my feelings would change. But looking in the mirror at my extremely short hair is just making me so upset. Iāve been growing it for so long just to have an unwilling hairstylist Overcharge me for rookie work. Iām genuinely not trying to be mean, but I have friends back home who are stylists. This felt like people trying to over exaggerate their experience and charge more. I pray to God they give me a refund, iāve never experienced this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMichaela is my hair stylist for the rest of my life!! Iāve been going to Michaela for more than 4 years. I always wanted to write a review for her and I finally have time to do it today!
First, Michaela has over the top skill for haircut, perm, coloring and etc.. basically sheās good at everything! Sheās super fast and the outcome is still so stunning. Whenever I go to Michaela and get my hair done Iām always satisfied with the results. Iām super picky person because Iām a designer so it pretty much tells how picky customer I can be and Iāve never got this much of satisfaction from other hairstylist in my whole life. Thatās why I can never stop going to her even though itās in LA and I live in Irvine.
Second, Michaela knows how to communicate with her customers. Iām pretty quiet at hair salon but when it comes to talk about my hair Iām super picky. However Michaela takes more care about my hair than how much I care about it. For her itās not about money. Sheās super honest and she knows whatās the trend in these days or what looks good for that person. Plus, she constantly communicates when itās time to make decision. So this is probably one of the reason that Iām always happy with the result because itās something that we both agreed on and what I wanted originally. Sheās open minded to hear customers needs and also sheās not afraid of being honest and shares her idea with her customers. Therefore it always helps to come up with good results.
Third, sheās super nice. Sheās so so so nice and professional that I canāt believe how nice she is during her crazy overwhelming work environment. I go to her only when I have time for the whole day just for my hair because I donāt mind spending time for it since Iām paying a lot of money. Even when sheās doing multiple customers at the same time she never forgets to be nice to her customers, which I thought sheās super professional. Since sheās super nice and she truly cares about her customer, she cuts my bangs and provides bang perm for free. Maybe itās because Iāve been her customer for a while?! Then start going to Michaela from now on! Itās never too late change your hairstylist...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to show my hair before I make an appointment and then scheduled for my hair with Ivy, hair stylist. I went to the salon but she complaint about my hair and she told me she cannot do what I wanted (C curl and magic) because I have hanna hair dyed, damaged and not a virgin hair. Who has virgin hair that never done perm as a female? So, she will cut my damaged hair and do magic perm only part that I didn't have magic perm. I felt so bad when she complaint about my hair, but I calmed down and agreed with her. But I have a silky and shiny hair, so I have heard compliment from other since I was very young. After it's done, I found my hair has done magic straight only root part and middle part has no magic done, so my hair had wave on middle and top and bottom have magic straight done. I called and went the shop she compliant about my hair viciously and told me she already told me. Who want to go to hair salon to get permed only hair root regardless whole style? I asked her refund because I couldn't talk with her because she wanted to argue with me. She didn't say sorry and blamed me all. She did perm again but she didn't complete well so I still had an obvious wave and line in middle of my hair. She did it again. I asked her to cut the edge on the bottom because it looks like cutting unprofessionally. She declined and told me it is magic done she cannot do anything. Declining and blaming are the way she treats customers. She doesn't have service attitude and does not have good skills as a hair stylist and blames customers' hair condition to avoid her responsibility even though that doesn't make sense obviously. Don't go to Ivy. She will treat you as like this. I haven't experienced like this kind of services in my life. It was awful and horrible day for me. I am going to go to another shop this weekend to get hair cut on the edge that she spoiled. I cannot go out with this edge cut it damaged my style. It was waste of my money and time and felt very unhappy and...
