In the Bay Area there are no good Kimbap restaurants so I was very excited to try out this restaurant in LA Koreatown. We ordered:
Sesame Leaf Kimbap (깻잎김밥) Smoked Beef Kimbap (파라다이스 김밥)
The Kimbap are presented very nicely along with some soup that is apparently Miso soup, fish cakes, radish and something like cole slaw. I thought the Kimbap was quite good.
We then ordered Kimbap to go:
Marinated Beef Kimbap (소고기 김밥) Burdock Kimbap (우엉김밥) Spam Kimbap
Maybe because of the long drive back to the Bay Area the Kimbap was not fresh but the kids actually thought the Kimbap from the local store was better. I was pretty surprised!
The ordering process and the ambiance of the restaurant is more like you are in Korea. Cutlery is already at the table. To order you use a tablet attached to the table and then the food is brought to you.
What was also interesting was that the menu was like a Korean Cheesecake Factory menu, it was huge! There were so many items including specialities like Silkworm Stew. We ended up going with only Kimbap since that's the name of...

This is my go-to place for usual 'let's go eat kimbap' nights. I saw some bad/negative reviews about this place. I know everyone has different opinions and thoughts, but I love this place!!
Pros Reasonable price. With the crazy inflation, I believe the price is fair. Good portion. Less rice and more inside (ingredients). Good customer care. They mistakenly gave us the wrong kimbap when we ordered the togo a few months ago. They put our name and phone number down so that they could give us a 'service/make up' later. They sure did when we visit again! Awesome customer care!!! Location. In the heart of K-Town! Hours. Closes at 11 pm! Lovely Cons Parking. The building gets packed many times. But....that is not new in K-Town right? This is not a real con for me, but I don't think they have vegan menus. I'm Asian which means no vegan or vegetarian menus for me hahahaha! Overall, a great place for a quick eat-out...
Read moreHello my name is Adolfo Diaz. I work for a local Property management company. During my breaks I like to come to this place because the food is great. Unfortunately the service is really bad. They always give my wife and I the cold shoulder. Today 5/29/22 12:30pm the waitress sat us down and what looked to be the manager or owner female. Told us to leave because they already had reservations. Since when do they do reservations is beyond me 🤬 but that was the final straw. I politely got up and left without saying a word. It is very unfortunate because I love the food. Sometimes it just seems like they are overwhelmed with work. Too many mistakes. They need a bigger place. Hopefully one day I will return. Update: They are getting a bigger spot right next to original. I am excited to eat good Korean...
