I had the pleasure of visiting this charming bakery nestled in the bustling streets of Brentwood, an experience that left a lasting impression not just on my taste buds, but also on my heart. This little gem offers an impressive array of pies, freshly baked and ready to enchant anyone looking for a bite of comfort. What sets this place apart is its inclusive approach to baking - catering to both gluten-free and vegan preferences without compromising on taste or texture. Their mixed berries crumble, bursting with flavors and cradled in a delicate, flaky crust, is a testament to their craftsmanship and attention to detail.
However, the real scene-stealer for me was their classic apple pie. An emblem of homemade warmth and happiness, this pie, with its perfectly spiced filling encased in a buttery, golden crust, was nothing short of perfection. It's no wonder there's always a buzz around this bakery, especially during the festive season. Their pumpkin pie, a seasonal delight, garners praise and anticipation, drawing crowds who, in the spirit of Thanksgiving and camaraderie, queue up early in the morning - some who plan ahead and those who regretfully didn't.
This bakery is not just about exquisite pies; it's about creating memories, a sense of community, and a welcoming atmosphere that beckons you back time and again. Whether you are a local or just passing through Brentwood, missing out on this charming pie shop would be a regrettable oversight. It's a place where every bite tells a story of passion, tradition, and the joy of sharing good food. Highly...
Read moreWalking into Winston Pies in Brentwood on the eve of New Year's Eve was like stepping into pie heaven. The aroma of freshly baked pie crust enveloped the space and was a wonderful welcome.
Winston Pies has a short but impressive menu, from the ever-popular Carolina Classic Cherry to the gluten-free Classic Southern Pecan. Each slice tells a story, a testament to the craftsmanship that goes into creating these delectable treats. The Carolina Classic Cherry burst with a symphony of sweet and tart notes, while the gluten-free pecan pie defies expectations, proving that dietary restrictions need not sacrifice flavor. My good fortune peaked as I snagged the last apple and pumpkin pies.
The service at Winston Pies was nothing short of exceptional. The staff patiently navigated me through my selections. It's rare to encounter such a perfect blend of mouthwatering desserts and genuine hospitality. I eagerly anticipate a return, where I’ve promised myself a sample of their pie bites. Winston Pies is a slice...

Interestingly saw this place in a Nextdoor thread about "where to get good key lime pies", that someone had posted. I went through all the recommendations, and saved them on Google maps. This was the first one I hit up.
The crust of their pies are just amazing! Reminded me of some of the best Kouign Amanns I've had. It's crispy and buttery and ooh so yummy!
Also funnily enough, I don't particularly enjoy key lime pie, so got a slice of the chocolate and the cherry pies. And a bite sized apple pie for my walk home.
Recently picked up the strawberry rhubarb pie as well. So good!
I highly suggest getting the apple or the cherry one. Chocolate one was very good too, but has gotten less good after some time in the fridge.
Honestly think this might have been the best dessert pie place I've been to. They only make dessert pies, in case it helps.
Will definitely stop by again. But I'm also glad they're far away enough that I won't walk...
