I use to love shopping here. The customer service is some of the worst I have witnessed.
There was a line at the fitting rooms, about 8-10 people waiting. 3 of the rooms were locked and empty. I asked an employee if they could open the other empty rooms to help the line. There were 3 employees standing together who said no, they didn’t have enough employees working to do so. I got back in line and then waited, for 30 minutes, and watched those employees stand around talking to each other while the line grew larger and larger. More people asked if they could open the rooms, they continued to say no.
Everyone was growing increasingly frustrated and started trying on clothes in the isles. They came on the intercom and asked people not to do that, instead of just opening the empty rooms. They came back on the intercom and asked people to move quickly and limit their time in the rooms because of the line. It made absolutely no sense.
I got to the counter and the young lady working was incredibly rude, didn’t speak, take the hangers off the items purchase or apologize for the wait time.
They finally opened the dressing rooms after so many people asked. It was some of the worst customer service I have seen. Not a single person cared. I love this thrift store and the items are fantastic but the experience has significantly...
Read moreI've been supporting (shopping and donating) this ARC location for over 10 years and just had the worst experience dropping off a trunk full of bags and boxes to donate. The man taking the items actually frightened me he was so aggressive. There was an older woman ahead of me in line getting some larger items out of her truck so I was waiting my turn but this tall white guy was waving at me frantically to pull forward even when I would have hit the women if I did! He kept waving at me so I parked and opened my trunk. He literally snatched the items out of my hands. He stood very close to me while I was reaching into my trunk for more boxes. When I closed my trunk I asked for a donation receipt and a second man gave me one. Then the rude guy came around to my door as I was getting into the car and shoved a receipt at me while grabbing the other one the second man had given me. He got close to my face and said, "next time put your stuff in better boxes" then stomped off. I had two of my kids in the car and they couldn't believe how mean this guy was! I called the store as I was pulling away and told the woman who answered the phone the story and after asking for some identifying characteristics of who I encountered she just said "ok". No apology. I will NEVER donate to...
Read moreVisited on a Thursday afternoon in May 2021. Prices were a bit high for a second hand used goods store. Dresses were priced at what you'd pay for them brand new. Overall the selection wasn't great: shoes, furniture, dresses, although well-organized. Maternity selection was VERY small, (practically nonexistent) however the children's toys section was large and had a good variety, although pricey. Stuffed animals range in price from $7 -$20. Overall store seemed pretty bare and pickings were slim compared to other ARC stores in the metro area. Although social distancing and masks are required, the store isn't laid out well to actually accommodate any type of social distancing. Aisles are as narrow as they always were and an important item to note: the dressing rooms are completely closed. Makes it difficult to buy clothing items if you can't try anything on. Returns are accepted up to 10 days WITH receipt and tags ON, however refunds are in the form of store credit only, no cash. Under normal circumstances this policy is ok, but when you can't try items on it seems a bit...
