As a benchmark when trying a new chinese restaurant, I almost always get sesame chicken. It is on nearly every menu, and while seemingly simple, it has a combination of components that must all be brought together in order to be a successful dish. These traits are: moist chicken inside, crispy flour or corn starch crust outside, and a sweet, tangy and spicy reddish-gold sauce that creates an instant craving.

Chef King fell flat on their face with this. First off, the sauce was gray. Yes, that is not a typo; gray. It smelled so powerfully of cheap vinegar that I thought they had spilled my grandmother's home brew vinegar window cleaner on the chicken by mistake. I ate 2 pieces, regretfully, and was not shocked to find stringy chicken and a sauce that stuck to my teeth like milk duds. And that was promptly the end of tha meal.

Seriously, if you must have chinese, go anywhere but here. Literally. Buy something from the freezer section or out of a can at your local grocery store over this place. Do not let my culinary suffering be in...

My boyfriend and I are always happy with anything we get from Chef King. My favorite is the Mongolian beef and his is the sesame tofu. He especially loves their dumplings though, and insists no else makes them as good. I highly recommend anything at Chef King, definitely our favorite place!

Keep in mind, any food with more carmel like sauces (such as sesame or sweet and sour) will thicken/harden a bit the longer they sit and can become chewier. This doesn't bother me, but if that bothers you make sure to eat the food hot and fresh then! In addition, it's not uncommon for frozen chicken to still have a slight pink tinge on the inside even though it's still fully cooked (age of the chicken and their feed can also affect this). So don't assume a chicken dish isn't fully cooked just because there is a slight pinkness to the inside, that can be...

Have been going to this place for many years it was always great. Went back today and it was one of the worst experiences i have ever had. Broccoli beef was horrible! The meat was rotten, it had a horrible smell, it was so bad i spit it out immediately after tasting it. We asked for something else and got chicken curry instead. I have no idea what the hell they served us but it was not chicken it looked like chicken skin it had a strange texture it looked like pieces of fat. we also got orange chicken that too was a mess the chicken was hard and tasted old. I will never go back to chef king i got very sick from the food. I dont think i can ever have...

I ordered the chicken pan fried noodles (with fried rice), wonton soup, and an egg roll. It came out to $25 and overall, it was decent. The pan fried noodle dish was quite good. However, the accompanying fried rice (which was included) wasn't very flavorful and only had small amounts of egg. The wonton soup was fine, nothing special. And the "egg roll" was more of a spring roll than an egg roll, if not a spring roll by definition. The food is probably enough for 3ish servings. Edit: Also tried some lunch specials. Pretty decent value. Loved the hunan chicken. Edit 2: Walnut honey shrimp was interesting, decent but wouldn't order again

Good spot for quick takeout. Standard Chinese menu, very fast. A little on the greasy side but tasty. Lunch combo was a lot of food at a good price
