As a benchmark when trying a new chinese restaurant, I almost always get sesame chicken. It is on nearly every menu, and while seemingly simple, it has a combination of components that must all be brought together in order to be a successful dish. These traits are: moist chicken inside, crispy flour or corn starch crust outside, and a sweet, tangy and spicy reddish-gold sauce that creates an instant craving.
Chef King fell flat on their face with this. First off, the sauce was gray. Yes, that is not a typo; gray. It smelled so powerfully of cheap vinegar that I thought they had spilled my grandmother's home brew vinegar window cleaner on the chicken by mistake. I ate 2 pieces, regretfully, and was not shocked to find stringy chicken and a sauce that stuck to my teeth like milk duds. And that was promptly the end of tha meal.

This doesn't bother me, but if that bothers you make sure to eat the food hot and fresh then! In addition, it's not uncommon for frozen chicken to still have a slight pink tinge on the inside even though it's still fully cooked (age of the chicken and their feed can also affect this). So don't assume a chicken dish isn't fully cooked just because there is a slight pinkness to the inside, that can be...

I will never go back to chef king i got very sick from the food. I dont think i can ever have...
